AGN Reporter Tags

From time to time, you may see a player with the name AGNplayername. This is an in-game reporter covering news for AGN. I like to make a request of the community with the following understanding:

Any reporter wearing the AGN tag will be non-combative and will not be actively participating in any battles. The use of such a tag implies the player is soley an observer. We request the community respect this and not engage the reporter.

If reporters wish to be active in the battle, they will not be wearing AGN tags and are considered "fair game". Any reporter actively engaging in battle while wearing an AGN tag will be repromanded and if need be, removed from AGN paticipation. I've made this policy known to the AGN Staff and I hope the community will respect this arrangement so that AGN can provide you with the best possible coverage of the "war". :love:

I think AGNplayernameAGN might be a tad more noticable if at all. I know I never really look at the name of the person I'm shooting at. I just shoot at red names.

Also, will there be an AGN outfit? I can just see a bunch of people running around in AGN tags so they dont get shot at :rolleyes:

Also...I know that AGNBigBro will be wearing Standard Issue clothing without any weapons. So if you shoot me.. SHAME ON YOU! ;)

My reporter char will most likely just be flying around in a mosquito. Seems like you could get a better picture of the battle while staying a little safer and more mobile.

Only problem with that is that you'll more than likely get shot down. If a soldier hesitates for one second, that soldier is dead. If I'm not aware of an AGN reporter in the area, and I have to second guess where my Striker is going, I'm a detriment to both me and my empire.

Being non-combative, I made mine an infiltrator, with mosquito and wraith. I carry a REK (just incase I'm on the wrong side of a locked door) and the rest of my inv is jammer nades (just in case someone spots me and gets trigger happy, I can drop a nade and beat feet away from him). Now if SOE would only code a "Don't shoot! I'm a reporter!" voice bind... :D

BTW....

Because of a "bug" that SOE Customer Service refuses to /rename me for (they did once for me on Emerald), I now have characters on all servers named "AGNBigBr0".

Try for yourselves. You cannot create characters with a name containing BRO in it. When pressed, CSRs tell me that it's not against the naming policy, and they cannot /rename me.

I inform you of this so you don't think it's an imposter! It really is ME!

I'm thinking of jumping in and getting some video footage for a AGN site intro movie, but I'll probably have to go cloaker and pray I don't get all shot to hell. I don't think any "opposing faction" is going to respect an 'AGN' name... but I'm gonna make a list, and frag twice any l337wh0r3 who kills me while tagged as AGN. Once filming is done, SantaHawke is coming to town.
