Hey, I'm Bonnie, and I write the DsV newsletter.

DsV were one of the first Permanent Outfits to be created. We go back to April 2001. Over those (nearly) two years, we've grown to a size of about 140 members, which makes us the biggest outfit in PlanetSide.

We're a mainly European outfit, divided up into five taskforces, codenamed the Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, Vultures, and Kestrels. We also have a command unit of our five 'top brass'. You can find our members list at http://www.dreamscapevirus.com/active/members.asp

Although the outfit is mainly European, the Falcons taskforce of 26 members is exclusively American and Canadian.

Our outfit is using CounterStrike both as a way to prepare for PlanetSide, and also as a way to bond the outfit as well as just having a bloody good laugh. We have a squad in the ECSL (European Counter-Strike League) and we have our own server, which is located at cs.dreamscapevirus.com:27021

We also have our own IRC channel, which you can find on Quakenet at #dsv. Funnily enough, there're usually more people on the dsv channel than there are on the main #planetside channel on EnterTheGame. Feel free to drop by for a chat sometime.

We do have rules which members must follow, regarding insults, bragging, and sexist or racist remarks, but hopefully that shouldn't bother most of you. In general, people are very friendly and there won't be any problems fitting in.

We have an excellently designed site at www.dreamscapevirus.com, several of our founding members work as web-designers, and the quality of the site reflects that. (in my opinion it's worth seeing the intro to the site even if you're not interested in joining ) We have our own forums for general chat, two forums for discussion of CounterStrike stuff, two general private forums, and one forum for each Task Force. Feel free to drop by and post on the general forum or sign the guestbook - it's always nice to see new faces.

We haven't decided yet. As our rosters grow many people will be able to add their arguments to the discussion. Also, truly detailed information has not been released yet about the specifics of each empire's abilities. A final decision will likely not be made until well into open beta.

DsV is a great outfit made of mature, generally respectable characters. I enjoy just getting on and talking with them.

And we're more than just UK. We've got 45+ in our North American division and climbing.
