We will be using the FREE battlefield 1942 multiplayer demo to practice.
1 if your system can't run BF1942 then it isn't gonna run Pside
2 The game IS similar in many ways. Classes will be handled differently in Pside but vehicles and many weapons will be similiar
3 Any firstperson shooter will help hone your aim
4 Small ops Communication will be very similar in both games (minus the commander in Pside)
These are the reasons we are using BF1942 until Pside is released. Now these practices will not be manditory but try not to make me look to stupid out there by myself I can take on 5 newbies at once but that isn't gonna make me a better player.
The main point of practice WON'T be score or anything like that, even winning isn't the object during our practices. The main point will be team communication and situational awareness.
Ex. In a game of domination(capture and hold as many command points as possible for as long as possible) your down to 2 forts out of 5. lose these 2 and your toast. Do you help defend your bases or flank the enemy and take a totally undefended base? Obviously the path of least resistance....take the undefended base. Easy decision huh? maybe not when planes and artillery are raining down fire and your jeep is in the middle of its 3rd flip, OOOOH watch that landmine.
I hope to begin Practices on a once-a-week basis, post what day and time is best.
