I have a feelings its going to require a couple GBs at least. But jsut curious. And if so, does anyone know where I can get a 5-10GB 10,000RPM 8MB Cache ATA 133 at?

Yeah, fastest IDE is 7200rpm....if you want 10,000 you need SCSI. Oh and don't bother with 8mb buffer unless you are doing video editing. And avoid IDE Raid too, it really sucks.

I have 13 gigs free now, and I can always slap in another HD if I really need to.

actually, most MMOGs only take a couple hundred megs...most of the information, textures, etc, will be on the server running the world(s) and you download that information when needed...kinda like land blocks in asherons call if anyone has played that and know what I'm talking about...I'm not absolutely sure what it is gonna put on your system, but the more they put on YOUR system, the easier the game is to hack and make bright pink models for easier finding...

Who the fuck said anything about me not having enough hardrive space. I asked how much space is required AND if anyone knew where I can find a 10,000 RPM hd.

I do have plenty of space, but I noticed a severe performance loss when i got a hardrive with the same specs but with only a 2mb cache. Anyways, i found a couple good ones on Pricewatch.com

Thx again, but does anyone know the HD space required?

And btw, a 10,000RPM will seriously increase your gaming performance on massive scale games.

no, getting like a 4gb of ram and making 3 a ramdisk will seriously increase your performance on massive scale games.

Yes, well some of us aren't born with golden spoons up our asses...

Im sure a randisk would byfar be the fastest. But, no thanks. Id rather just get a nice SCSI 20GB 10,000RPM 8MB Cache for 100 bucks off of Pricewatch.
