the game, would be alot of fun, as soon as you got alot of money, and alot of people to work with, i played it for 14 days i think, i got almost all the way to a cruiser class ship, which is about the weakest thing youd want to throw into PVP, the game isnt about mining, infact its prolly more profitable when you start to kill shit, however the game requires alot of time, i didnt have the money to continue playing it, and i might have, but i didnt see it as a game i should pay for, but i defenatly suggest at least trying the trial, the game could be plenty of fun for you, and im certain it is later on in the game, ive seen videos of huge fleet PVP, it was pretty cool.

EVE sucks, it lost my interest in 2 hours. Horrible interface, shitty/non existant gameplay, too damn complex for newbies, no other people in the whole damn game. I mean it, I flew around for TWO HOURS, mining and searching for someone, didn't find ANYONE. THE WHOLE TIME.

What you do is go into rookie help and ask if anyone is mining or if anyone wants to mine etc. Thats how I ended up in interstel.

Then EVE is not for you... EVE is an MMORPGBussiness game... you mine, build ships, and sell them; or you kill other people and seel their stuff for profit... its a job you have to pay for almost...

one thing really bad ass about that game, i was reading this story about what happened to this one guy, he had just bought a brand new Capitol ship, biggest and baddest in the game, but he had no money left over, at least not much, and this pirate guy came out of the blue, and disabled his ship in a electric net or something and in about 50 seconds had it down to less than half health, and sent him a Tell,

50 million or your ship, and the guy replyed,

i dont have any

Well then find someone who does or your ship is toast, 20 seconds

i dont have any money i just bought this ship

done

and then the other guy took off, now that, is what a pirate is, however in that game, most of the people think a pirate is someone who captures someone else in a net of some type, and blows em to hell before they know wtf is going on.

depends, if you have insurance on it or not, and in some cases, if you have the highest cover of insurance, you can make money on loosing a ship.

but when you do loose your ship you get ejected into the fastest ship in the game, which is this lil pod thing, and if they dont blow you to hell in that pod, you make it away, and you go buy or use another ship.

Eve is the only RPG I would consider playing post-Planetside. It reminds me of Privateer on a grand scale.

exactly, but it takes time to get to the level where you can do all sorta shit. i mean the huge fleet battles just look awesome, ive seen vids where it looks like 50 against 50. i never go to fight in something like that, but i think it would be cool.

I've heard of pirates holding mining containers ransom, ore haulers ransom, and miners ransom. Also holding entire asteroid belts ransom. Those pirates are cerazy.

Don't try to kill the pirates because you will get owned in a second. Instead work your way up training skills and getting better ships with better setups and you will eventually have fun.

Its a fun game once you get into it, but you gotta join a good corp and spend time to be good at it.

C4 is fucking dead. And CA is on its way to doom as well.

Stain and Xetic kicked CA's ass back at U-Q yesterday. Xetic only lost 2 cruisers and 1 frigate, and CA is still claiming victory all over the boards. Plus during that massive battle Xetic forces basically took all of detorid. You guys claim victory while sitting in empire looking at billboards.

The thing about EVE is that mining in empire space is so pointless. Its only worth it if you are building something, and it takes a long time to do it.

Where I am theres rare ores so I can mine for an hour and make 20 million isk easy.

i played the 14 day trial and was bored out of my mind. Its not that its complicated its just boring. Mining was such a waste of time and took hours of doing nothing. Travelling took forever and was stupid. The only fun thing would be to have a battleship but Im not wasteing weeks upon weeks on boringness toget a ship. Mining is boring, but 100% optional. Traveling can be boring, but it also allows you to take breaks you wouldn't have in other games that just port you wherever you want.

It's all relative I suppose.
