Yes, I realize not every IRC question can be asked. Heck, I think maybe only 25% of the questions were asked. But it gets my goat when guestions such as "Hey spork, how did you feel when I owned you with my Beamer," get asked, but legitimate gaming questions don't get asked. Here was my list of questions I asked on IRC:

What about AMS's spawned at a base with mod benefits having those benifits, that apply (weapon, speed, healing in the bubble)?

I know you're decreasing deploying time for the switchblade, but what about increasing armor while it's deployed and/or allowing us to exit while it's deployed and/or allowing everyone to enter while it's deployed.

What about single certs, such as spending one cert to allow for more deployables, or faster healing, etc. If I want to spend five cert points to be an advanced engineer and 15 points to increase my amount of deployables, then I've become very specialized because now I can't even get MA. (sure, I maybe able to fill an CY with mines all by myself, but the heaviest weapon I can use is the supressor)

the mowing question previously asked was regarding the fact that traction based vehicles are better at mowing than levitation based vehicles, so it was somewhat of a nerf to the magrider. (I know I wasn't the only person who asked this question)

if more Favorites aren't possible because of DB storage, why not keep favorites on the client (it seems to me, it would be a simple txt file).

I can understand taking damage around a corner (from my POV their bullets are passing through the wall, but on the enemy's screen, I haven't gone around the corner yet), and I understand I do that same thing to other players. What gets me is when I get run over by a vehicle even though I'm crouched by the CC and have been for the last 10 minutes because his/her computer has not received the signal of me being in the basement. Or being sniped through a wall because the enemy's computer doesn't feel like rendering the wall. Any thoughts on improving CSHD.

All very in depth game related questions. But then questions about the BFR gets asked even though they've commented in the forums AND IN THE SHOUTCAST EARLIER that they can't say anything.

I know Mars man and Hamma have alot of crap to sift through, people asking questions just to be silly, but putting !q before it, but still... I have a feeling they ask every 10th question or something, I don't think they really sort the IRC questions (and understandably, but that doesn't decrease my miffed-ness. Then add to the fact that on the PS forums the devs reply to certain posts that are just fun/silly/trolling/stupid but disregard legitimate questions. Heck, half the time I just want to hear, "We've thought about it, but no," or, "good idea, never thought of that, we'll talk about it." I don't need an in-depth answer.

The best chance of getting your questions asked is to submit them ahead of time using the Ask the Devs submission page. Over 100 questions were asked in the intermission, and it's asking a lot for Hamma and Marsman to pick out the best ones so they do what they can.

Let me start off by stating that I am sorry, but we cannot please everyone. We cannot ask every question that we recieve via the forums and IRC. We spend several hours sorting through all the questions on the list when they are submitted, do you think we just shrug off gameplay questions?

We do not ask questions that are asked every time, and we do not generally ask questions about balance. Because like it or not, we are not going to recieve an answer on these topics. I don't like to hear "Im sorry we dont know" or "We cant answer that" 30 times, if thats your thing you should start another show :p

The live questions are a different animal, they are picked out on the fly (and no, it isnt every 10th question, how shallow do you think we are?) Sporkfire sorts through the list during the break and reccomends the questions. Why does he do it? Because he knows what he can answer. Some things they just dont have an answer to, and they just like us - dont want to answer "I dont know" over and over again. In depth gameplay questions are really not for this show, this is a Q&A show, in depth balance and gameplay questions deserve a more in depth format. We also try to keep the show to the point, we cant go on for hours.

I'm sorry you are "miffed" but the fact of the matter is, we cannot ask all your questions. Myself and Marsman know this community well and we have done this show for many months now, we know what has been asked to the bone and we know what is not going to be answered on the air. We do our best to provide a show where there is lots of content.

And for the record, there were very few BFR questions asked because.. they cant answer. But like it or not, people are thinking about BFR's and we got tons of those Q's.

If you want a better chance at your questions being asked, Lartnev's answer is for you.

Hamma said it all very well and expresses my view exactly. I do want to point out that not only does Spork see the live submitted questions as they come in, but Hamma also provides a log of those questions and mails them to Spork. They are interested in what you have to say. As with the official forums, you can ask your questions and express your views here. But also like the forums, the devs responses are limited to what they are prepared to discuss with the community at that time. Thanks for tuning in.

After listening to the recording I have to apologise as kinkade did actually submit questions (one was second in the show).

Well, that's why I used the word miffed. Maybe I should've defined my use of the word. I'm not mad, angry, upset, or even peeved. Miffed in my dictionary is much less than that, somewhere in the ball park of huffy, but a little more mature than pouty. For every single word of positivity that is given to everyone that makes PSU happen, I'm right there with the congrats (even though I may not voice them), and rarely am I one to complain, and to me I wasn't really complaining here, just venting (should've stated that too).

And, even my venting wasn't directed at anyone one person, or should be taken personally. It was more towards the people (the type) who !q-ed things like, "How many questions can I ask," or, "How many licks does it take to get the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop." Those questions won't be asked, but make it harder for Hamma and MM to sort through. And as originally stated the lack of comments on topics that are legit (not just mine) on the PS forums.

Quite often we'll see something in the next update that was never officially comented on in any forum (such as the switchblade buff). They seem to come out of nowhere, but they've probably been asked either here or there.

Again, don't take this as a complaint, and I've listened to the last 5 Shouts (the was the first tuning in), and I think they're all incredible (it astounds me the level of interaction the devs have). So keep up the good, and just let me vent gosh darn it ;-)

P.S. yes, I heard my posted question and was thankful it was asked, unfortunately I only submitted two questions thinking I could submit more later, but alas no. Lesson learned.

Well if it makes you feel better I've had AGN-Bot questions go through and get read out so it does happen :(

Perhaps you should submit a couple of those questions next month as I would like to know the answer to a one or two of them myself if they get selected :)

Submitting ahead is really the prime way of getting answers to your questions. First time I submitted and I got responses to all three (or was it two, I forget).
