I think AGN needs a news talk show but with a funny twist. Sort of like When Robin from Howard Stern reads the news. They read real and funny news and they try to make it as entertaining as possible. I'd be willing to help produce such a show, but I don't think I'd want to cast. I'd help find news articles. Plan what order to read them. I'm not sure exactly what a producer does but I'd learn and try my best.

I think this would be cool weekly or maybe once every two weeks because I can see work getting in the way of this.

I applied a while ago. I've got experience on my hands, however, live video feed is something I have not done, but shouldn't be too hard to figure out, I do have the pipeline for a decent one :)

Evening all. I had applied a few days ago too, and have not received a response... Not to boast, my I do as well have non-exaggerated extensive experience with Shoutcasting multiple games as well as doing some live DJ theatres.

Anyway, good luck to all who applied and many thanks to ANG/PSU/PR to making this all happen.

By the way Shafman, live video feed is actually very hard to set up to stream along with the sound into a single .nvs stream. TSN was the first to ever do it, and even then only Juno was the guy who knew how. He had to explain it to everyone else. I had tried setting it up myself, but the program isn't very user friendly at the moment.

Actually TSN didn't use NSV (wasn't out then, if we're talking about the same TSN) WSBN did some of the first video with MS Video - NSV is reletively new - still in beta in fact. It's not all that hard to do video if you have 2 machine, one game machine and a broadcast machine - a single audio cable provides all sound needed.

If by TSN we mean Team Sportscast Network, then yes, I mean NSV. At first they used just normal .pls streams, then for a time Juno had a select few use .nsv streams instead of .pls because the .nsv incorporated video. And yes, it is still in beta, but Juno did it. Later on, they just incorporated an MS Video plugin on a page on their site to allow people to view the video without winamp or any other program open besides the browser.

As for the difficulty, when I tried utilizing NSV output, the program was a command line based program with a few other config programs to choose a video source etc. I think my main problem was that I could never find a screen-capture source to run (ie, a program) for the NSV program to get the frames from.

I have applied as well as offered my services wherever needed some time ago. I have some specific on-air radio experience, as well as a little voice/acting experience.

I can do anything with PCs/servers/networks, so Shoutcasting shouldn't be anything difficult for me.

There is also an extensive collection of 60's and 70's psychedelic/garage music as well as a plethora of other kinds of music sitting around here, if relevant.

I have some good ideas for some stuff as well.

Good luck to all applicants. Whatever turns up, it should be good. :)

It would be nice to know if we were declined, accepted, followed up, ignored, or if you just havn't gotten to many of the applications yet.

I would bet that not much will take place on this or other stuff while those lucky folks are at Mobilization Alpha. Perhaps once they get back.
