[EVE] Did they have fun?

Well this was the first night that almost everyone who suddenly showed intrest in the game played together. So far there are about 12 of us all together. 3/4ths say they will sub. So please to all the people who played with us tell us what you liked, what you didnt, if you had fun, and if you are considering or are going to sub or just arnt.

Hopefully this will draw more people in.

wait till Shiva comes out and the cops will acctualy try and stop you from doing it squeeky. Right now its perfectly legal. But soon it wont be and the drugs will become rare. At that point you can make a fortune if you have a insulated cargo hold to protect from scanners.

Man, we're ownin some shit up in EVE. All the nubs are doing surprisingly well, we've got them ownin pirates left and right already. :eek:

Also, Shiva (aka EXODUS), that beautiful huge fuckin FREE expansion to EVE, is coming out in about 2 weeks, on Nov. 17th. It includes a friggin PILE of new ships, new enemies, huge pirate installations we can bust into and blow up, all sorts of frickin crazyness. :rofl: yes the server maintenance has prevented me from not doing HW and gettting to classes late many a time. See? They bring the servers down EVERY day to make sure everything works perfect. The devs in this game NEVER stop working for your money. I think its the best 14 bucks a month I have ever spent.

I read the FAQ for the game but it didn't say anything about how combat works.

Is it actually like a space sim combat that requires aim and a little twitch, or is it more like standard mmorpg where you pick your target and auto attack with a few special attacks thrown in?

P.S. If you DO go to the alliance maybe we can strike up a deal with them for trading the ammo they need. We will be happy to run ammo shipments to them. Seeing as we will have a lower overhead than their production facilities out there we will beable to do this with a greater profit and thus can undershoot their prices making the missles cheaper for them.

What is this game all about anyway?

EvE is a MMORPG set in the far flung future. It acctualy mimics PS in a certain way. We found a warpgate to another galaxy. Used it. It blows up we are stranded. 4 Races develop from the humans that remain and several other smaller factions. They are the Caldari, Amaar, Mimnatar, and the Gallente. The goal in the game is to make money and become powerfull. People can have a MAJOR roll in the game. Those 4 factions that I just stated are the NPC empires. They are controlled by the devs. Sick of the dullness of the police and empire space players emmigrated to the leathal 0.0 security status space and formed the alliances. The alliances all stand for diffrent things. The one Inf is going to join hates pirates I.E. people who are there to ruin other players lives. Players bound together under corps which are then admitted to the alliances sometimes. Our corp hopes to be a major ammo producer for Inf's alliance so we can get rich. The money will help us get the best ships and equipment in the game and thusly fight pirates who invade empire space OR move into the 0.0 space and join the alliance our selfs.
