[EVE] Help with trial

I just DL'ed it, and the file name is init_2 (no extension) i have been going craz trying to open this file, could some on help?

EVE_1754.exe should be the name of the program.

Is there no free trial time? I mean without getting a buddy pass?

Anyone else having odd isues with this game?

I was playing along trying to learn me some stuff, then the screen just went black. Music still played, sound still was being emitted, but the window was black.

I ended up just closing it and haven't tried to go back, just wondering if this is a common ocurance?

The engine is getting an overhaul in the next expansion, but yes it is problematic.

Last night was my first time playing and it happened to me too. I was auto-piloting and right as my ship jumped at a warp-gate, I double-clicked someone's portrait in the PSU channel. Black screen... I restarted the program and my ship loaded up still in mid-jump.
