I don't think Wowuniverse is a great plan, but I do think an Other Gaming Section is an awesome plan. With all the games these people play, and with all these popular new games coming out.

I've decided not to buy the game. After playing the stress test and Open beta i've realised the game just sucks away all my free time and interferes with too much of my life.

Im gonna hold myself back from buying it for as long as I can. There's just too many other things to be done.

EVE is my MMORPG of choice. PlanetSide is my multiplayer FPS of choice, and Half-Life 2 is my single player FPS of choice.

Screw WOW or EQ2 anyhow, I'd much rather fire nuclear missiles at my opponent from the bridge of my massive war cruiser than hack at him with an axe any day.

I will probably wait about six months or so before picking it up. MMOs are usually very expensive when they are first release, then the price drops dramatically about 6 months later, and they have alot of new content, newbie areas arent full, etc...

Ive been staring at the crackrock that is WoW for nearly 3 years, I got a small taste in OB and even saw AztecWarrior there. How could a crackfiend like me ever resist the tease of just a taste without consuming it entirely?

If you have to to ask you really shoulndt play it. I however believe it is better than EVERY other mmo I have played, and Ive played almost every mainstream one except for EQ2, CoH, and SWG.

btw most everyone stopped after beta :p Though I guess there is a hack for playing the beta on private servers.

World of Warcraft Midnight Store Signing - Indoflaven on 11/19/04

The Blizzard Crew lined up to sign boxes at last year's launch of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
Come meet the developers of World of Warcraft at the Fry's Electronics store in Fountain Valley, CA on Tuesday, November 23. Starting on Tuesday morning at 12:00 AM PST, Fry's Electronics will open its doors to local gamers and give them the chance to be among the first to purchase a copy of the game and meet the developers in person.

The festivities will begin at 10:30 PM on Monday night, and the line to enter the store will be cut off at 1:00 AM, so be sure to get there early. We will be raffling away Blizzard recommended NVIDIA BFG GeForce 6800 video cards and backpacks, lift tickets to Bear Mountain ski resort, as well as a complete Alienware Area 51 computer. Local radio station, KROQ, will also be there to play music at the event, and food and beverages will be available.

From the bit of open beta I played and from all of the reviews from friends, its looks and sounds like something pretty special, hell it cant be any worse than swg...
