Welcome back all to the PSU-Political Forum!

Hamma has graciously agreed to re-open this for us, and asked me to stay on to mod the forum. That being said we have agreed on a newer... more strict set of rules. They are not open to debate. This is how it will be. I am going to Mod more pro-actively, and these are the guidelines set forth.

Please take a moment to read them, and if you have questions, I will clarify any questions you may have.

Mr. Vicchio, PSU Political Debate Moderator.

1. Racist slurs or anti-semitic slurs are not allowed. Period. No excuse.

2. Pointless posts that derail a thread will be warned un-officially with a pm, repeat offenders will be officially warned under the PSU "3 Strikes Rule". Determination of derailment is up to the Moderator(s). There will be occasions a thread's main point is settled and as happens with forum threads, the topic may go an entirely new different direction.

3. One liner ad-hominem attacks will not be tolerated.

4. Post deletion, alteration, and thread locks are at the discretion of the moderator(s). Any such action will be taken after the member has been first given the chance to remove/alter offending posts with the sole exception of posts breaking Rule 1.

5. Quoting from another website will follow the following format:
blah blah blah
www.blah.org/blah

6. Report inappropriate posts to the listed Political Debate Moderators. Any reports to other moderators will not result in action being taken, and your issue may not be resolved in a timely fashion.

7. The Political Debate Moderators are NOT here to judge the merits of others debates, rather to control inappropriate and offensive content in order to create an environment conducive to Political Debate. If you wish to engage in banter with a fellow poster, please take such to the General Lounge.

One thing I'd like to add is that if the pointless spam etc. looks to be taking place only in poldeb, then take away that person's ability to view/post in the forum as opposed to outright bannination...i probably wont be in here much but i had that suggestion to make for the "new" poldeb forum.

Can you perhaps taking people and misquoting them to say
blah blah blah
or in situations like that with links
No matter who does it, it's annoying

Sputty, I meant uhm... say you quoted from CNN... I want the sentence, phrase whatever:

Bush said this today "blah blah blah"
www.cnnstufff.blah.com/html

With the SOURCE quoted so that anyone reading it can check to see for themselves if the quote is in context or not.

Thats all.

And thanks guys, I came back BECAUSE of the level of support, and the kind words.

There is that option, and I will give Hamma names of people that over the course of time deserve it. Warnings will be issued, chances given. It wont be a "You borke the rules, YOU ARE BANNED!" No it will be a longer process because, people make this forum, and sometimes people make mistakes.

Hey, I broke the first three rules in that one post! Don't I get a reward or something? I was trying for a forth rule, but it wouldn't let me just have a quote.

For example

"poldebaterthatannoysme
blah blah blah
lol u r dum"
