Players or Owners??

Which side are you on in the NFL labor dispute?

Me, I am ultimately, on the side of the owners. They are the ones with the most financial risk, and while the players have a case for wanting more $$ in return for putting their bodies on the line, I think there is more greed on that side of the ball. However, as a fan, I JUST WANT MY FOOTBALL.

I'm with NASCAR. You drive [play], you die [get hurt], boo hoo. We'll take a slow lap for you.

My degree of concern what a bunch of multimillionaires is bickering about is nonexistent. It's like keeping up with the Royals. I don't CARE if they have had to reduce the quality of silk they used for toilet tissue.

My cure for anyone quitting engaging in something I watch: Watch something else, or OMG get an activity that actually allows YOU to participate!

Seasons about 2 weeks from either being delayed or canceled, I am not a happy camper.

I can imagine that my brother who loves NFL is also not a happy camper. :)

I love football as much as the next guy, but listening to these dolts argue about massive amounts of money they get paid to throw a ball makes me not care. :\

Or that super-faggoty forerunner: European football.

I think you mean Association Football... other than that it's hard to argue. ;)

I find it disgusting too, but really look at the personal impact: If they can't get their poop together, we get no football.

So, that's why I care.

It is a kerfuffle either way.

I have a blanket ban on the watching of sports in my apartment.

That takes care of the issue of giving a damn rather nicely.

my position is this: the linemen and such, the people who you don't know their names, they get underpaid. everyone else is overpaid. In my HS football days one of my coaches played in the NFL and he said this "if your going into the nfl for money your doing it wrong, its about the love of the game, all these people crying for money are pussies"

I don't see the point of this debate. More time watching sports = less time playing games

3 hours for a few months every Sunday sans your home team having a Bye week..

Really, if that's harming your gaming...

(And I'm just testing the waters here, I suppose I could have posted a more serious debate topic, like oh I don't know.... the debt ceiling, DADT or Hassan's 2+ year trial... )
