Sorry this might be a bit offtopic, but i just want to express how much i have faith in this game to succeed, after DICE give another slap in the face to their community , cause it turns out that there will be no squad management ingame in BF3.

Meaning, you cant squad up with your friends while playing cause everything happens through this battlelog crap.
So once you make squad in this battlelog, and join the server it will automatically put you in random squads lol. Of course this made thousends of fans rage and cancelled their preorders just like me. EA UK forums are exploding

It seems like its now a habbit for developers to destroy their own games and dont care anything else just to get the idiotic casual cod crowd, make everything primitive and mindless shit. SO PLEASE PS2 dont let me down.

Wait, that's intentional? I thought it was just a beta issue they hadn't worked out. That's pretty terrible.

its final decision dude. Petitions already on the forums. This is similar when Infinity ward announced there will be no dedicated servers for mw2. but DICE dont seem to care just like IW.

In the case of MW it was activision that cocked it up not IW. The guys at Infinity Ward just want to make good games I'm sure of it but Activision is the money grabbing side with Kotick at it's head.

With BF3 I'm sure it's EA that's causing all the fail, I don't see the point in this beta anyway, the game will be going gold in a matter of weeks and at the moment is unplayable. You can't run across half the map for fear of falling through it. People turn into ragdolls then run around lying down shooting you so they are impossible to kill. There are too many glitches to list.

A Golden Opportunity for Sony to yank the carpet out from under a competitor, a carpet that will come with many gamers still standing on it.

this beta is 2 months old build, so these errors might be fixed, but thats not the point, the point is that the game is a step back from bc2 in terms of teamplay and of course its nowhere close to battlefield 2. After 6 years of waiting we get almost a more primitive game then call of duty lol epic fail

Seems like BF3 might have a nice campaign with co-op, but online multilayer, ick, not so good.

wow, I didn't realize they were not putting it in at all.

That is pretty rough - I should be able to pick the squad I want to be in, this doesn't even make any sense at all to me.

So the party thing won't do anything either?

This is what happens when games are developed for both Consoles and PC's at the same time. Consoles are incapable of x feature so they scrap it across the board to make development easier.

I've said it before and I will say it again, Consoles are a plague on Gaming. Especially PC gaming - the PC platform is 99x more capable but has to get the shaft over and over because Consoles bring in more $$

Eh, this sucks, but I'm still getting it. It isn't enough to make me cancel my order. The gameplay is still thousands of miles ahead of COD. It'll hold me over until PS2 comes out, at least.

I am pretty confident that they will put it in. They haven't actually said it will never make an appearance. It was likely just an oversight on their part. I imagine they are already working on it for a future patch.

BF3 is pretty but its gunna suck and the forced origin installation and plugins for the browser its badbbabdbadbabdbad.

If you got shot now, would a computer aid you in finding the soul who did it?...... I think not Sir......

they wont, the community manager confirmed that this will be final for the release too. EA is showing this crap battlelog through DICE throat i think. i cant belive they would fuck up their franchise like this.

Well there is always server admin tools to move people between squads.

Thankfully PlanetSide 2 will be PC only, we don't have to deal with Console's limitations.

Yeah, origin sux big floppy donkey ....., the browser based battlelog thing is awful too. The bugs tho, this is beta, you guys should expect bugs, its not a free trial, its beta. If it all goes live, then feel free to whine.

And the probs with terrible decisions is we buy it anyway. MW is in all reality very simplistic and nothin new in the least. A monkey could design it. But its name recognition paired with good graphics considering its a console game, and it gets teh basic simplistic, very fast paced, military fps shooter right. It all comes down to make it sell like hotcakes even if they screw everyone over with servers or whatever. Someone else will pay for the servers or whatever, its not enough to stop people from playin but it lets them net more cash. Honestly tho if you make as much as they do, you should be focusing on makin absolute top notch sequels and respect and pay back your customer base. You make more money in the end, ask blizzard or valve.

In the case of BF3, the origin and browser bs is all part of the evil EA, not really Dice. They want to steal some of Steam's....steam. Luckily, they suck at it, and we know it and dont trust em. They only even get us to try it by claiming some BS reason and pulling big games off of steam and forcing us to use Origin to buy them online. And on top of that, they make the games ONLY run on Origin if you play online, so you are required to use Origin even if you buy a boxed copy.

I got it to try the beta, but honestly have no interest in BF3, other than the graphics. The gameplay is...well its all the crap i wish they'd stop doin in ps2, but worse with the even faster deaths than BC2. Its just more of the same sadly, nothin new or innovative really. More of a graphics overhaul plus new maps, not bad, but just doesnt interest me. Esp with the more solo focused direction of the game which is dull and boring, somethin that drives me nuts with the direction of ps2 as well.

Haveant seen anyone mention this.

From a gamespy article posted yesterday:

In other Battlefield 3 news, DICE has posted a list of Beta bugs and problems that will be fixed with the release of the full game. Here's what will be getting attention:
* Fixed occasional client crash when reviving.
* Fixed killcam showing glitched area under map if your killer is dead.
* Issue with spawning on dead squad mates fixed.
* Fixed a bug where shooting at a moving enemy could cause more than the intended amount of damage.
* Crosshairs for shotguns have been replaced with a new, thinner, art.
* A subtle low health screen effect has been added.
* Tweaked scores of Medals and Service Stars.
* Tweaked the Rank progression.
* Pushing prone on console will not play the animation twice.
* Fixed loss of Squad Leader after EOR at some times.
* Framerate stability fixes.
* The 3D spotting icons has been tweaked to better match the target's visibility. Icons will show frequently less on mostly obscured targets.
* Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after round transition.
* Fixed issue with crosshair disappearing after trying to deploy while the countdown timer still active.
* Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates.
* Non working options in squad menu fixed: "Private" flag and "Switch Teams".
DICE has confirmed that no patch will be released for the Beta. So you're going to have put up with these bugs for a couple more weeks yet, unfortunately.

Crysis 2, now BF3. It seems to me that EA just waste all their money on advertising and than sell crap. Good way to go. If BF3 fails as Crysis2 did, I promise I'll never buy any EA product. A company that has only care for money but not for buyers deserves neither.

its just sad that we have to beg for basic features we had in BF2. like the squad system for example. who was that fuckin monkey who said its a good idea to not include that in a "true sequel"? you know what would be funny? if IW would include proper squad system in mw3 lol i would laugh my ass off

They never confirmed it yet.... They actually said they were discussing it.

No need to freak out yet. Come oct 25th if I can't squad with my friends I won't be playing it's that simple.

I'm not gonna squad up with people that sit in 1 area and never move. Which happens soo much on operation metro. Map is awful btw.

Agreed. I hate that map, makes me not want to bother with the beta.

Anyway the internet browser crap and the squad issue irk me quite a bit to the point of not wanting to buy. Though the guys I play with occupy a whole server, so I guess the squadding isn't as bad if you know the guys. I see NO reason why it should be taken out anyway.

EDIT: I am reading now there is going to be a better management system for joining regular ones and the making of private squads.
