So GTA V officialy announced!

One of my fave. Games of all time has a new installment and I cant wait. The question is where is the game going to be set and in what time period?

Alot of people are thinking its going to be set in Vice City(miami) again. I on the other hand dont. The new logo with the V and five dont come across with a miami vibe to me its more of a san andreas vibe am getting but I am doubting its set in vice city (shame thought because ViceCity was my fave) so am looking forward to the new trailer next wednesday! Any other GTA fans here?

Then do the NEXT game in Vice City and make it as crazy a step up as the original San Andreas was was from Vice City as far as content and scale.

I'd like a new setting other then Vice City or NY, but San Andreas was my least favorite GTA due to all the gangsta shit. I don't mind a bit of it, it's played a part in every GTA really, but SA was too heavy into it.

I'd like to see them hit the 50s. Officially outdo Mafia in the mob area.

On IGN some votes actually wanted something in the future. I actually agree, but nothing that would qualify as Sci-Fi, and not too far in the future. I'd like to see it take place 50 years from now in a world after an economic downfall. Not post apocalyptic, but a kinda rustic future setting. Similar to Star Wars (just not that far ahead, and I'd like to be on Earth) It'd be a good opportunity for organized crime

I have never been a fan of saints row, I just cant get my head around the driving mechanics it feels very fake. GTA's driving engine or whatever you call it is next to none, and by far the best Ive played :o)

I've heard rumors there will be multiple characters to play. A lot of people think that voice is Tommy Vercetti from Vice City. Others think multiple characters will be playable, which fits nicely with some thinking CJ, Nico, and Claude (GTAIII) will also make an appearance.

Looks great though even though its back to SA, I know for a fact that there will be lots of extra things added in this game as looking over the trailer so many times ive noticed a lot of things for example the gym on the beach which pretty much says that the body building system is back so i guess you can get fat, be muscular, or skinny etc which is cool :)

am not sure about the weapon system cuz the SA one was pretty good! Cuz the more you used your weapons the better you got with them, like with the pistol you could use akimbo afret using it for so long and getting the skill bar up. plus the same with vehicles the more you used them the better you got and so on.

so looking forward to this game, I want now! xD

I enjoyed the NY setting the most but it is a very biased opinion with me being from NY and all. This new one looks like its going to be a great storyline. Unfortunately i no longer have an xbox.
