Advertising: The hype train!

This is just an idea based on a few posts on these forums, and a little of the bad decisions made in the past on advertising.

One question.

I'm pretty sure Biscuit has expressed interest in Planetside 2 to Higby on Twitter.

Made the PS article in the hungarian wikipedia, and I write a blog where I try to catch up with the info-flow - and I'm in a bad arrear atm...

Basic idea is to provide info for people not speaking english (or lazy to try) in my country.

And one more thing. It is hard to explain in a paragraph or in 3 sentences what Planetside really is. It is like explaining role-playing-games to your parents. You will get lost in the details and after 10 mins of explanation, they'll ask a question and you realize, they still don't have the slightest idea of what you have been talking about. Running a blog gives you time.

BTW, what is your favourite PS video I could recommend to others to show the scale, the teamwork - the awesomeness of the game?

Good job! And its gave me and idea, but more on that soon.

About the best video, there are hundreads, the only problem is they look old and dated now, nothing like what PS2 will look like. the best video I can think of to promote it, is the new TR video. But its just one guy. Or you could try rooster's videos. But still they are just still images and some old video.

Market Planetside like they used to market Yo-Yos. Recruit one kid per school nationwide, offer him a free subscription if he recruits two other kids, and give him a free Planetside T-shirt. Give him some DVD's to hand out with the game on it, plus some trailers, backstory video/movie also on it, and a poster included.

You would capture the nation. They would probably have segments on Nancy Grace about how badly it was ruining the lives of young kids, which, of course, would skyrocket its popularity.

Set up the website "Be the first in your school to 0WN in the greatest online game, the greatest online world EVER!"
