The Vindicators are recruiting.

http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/3038/advert3.jpg

Who are we?
We fought for the Vanu Sovereignty on the US East - Emerald server, although we had members from all around the world.

In late 2002 I founded The Vindicators outfit in preparation for the original Planetside and started recruiting people from the official forums as all I saw was an abundance of specialised outfits dedicated to being pure cloakers or snipers (or both); something I saw as being near useless with the grand battles PS promised. We quickly gained members as the months leading up to beta ticked away, ending up with about 120. When beta finally started we recruited a lot of people, finding amongst them great leaders who have stuck with us and led chapters for the community in other games.

http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/6033/advert2w.jpg

When Planetside was in its prime we often had a full platoon working together with separate armour, air and infantry squads coordinating some pretty impressive feats. In particular I remember a 5 hour defence of Tore, Cyssor, and a time when we turned the tide of a battle that had been raging for three whole days around a single base. We were a member of the Vanu Round Table Alliance, which organised large raids for over a year until various outfits left the game. We also participated in the outfit wars, winning the majority of our matches.

Over the years we have had successful MMO chapters in World of Warcraft, Voyage Century Online, Darkfall, Age of Conan and Guild Wars. However Planetside has always been the game that we started in and Planetside 2 will see us return in style.

Why would you want to join?
The Vindicators have always been proud of the friendly, almost family like atmosphere that we have between our members. We developed this from the nature of our first game Planetside and the interdependence that it fostered between our members as we sent Mag columns and Gal drops into enemy territory.

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/8039/advert1y.jpg

My intention is to make us a deciding force on the battlefield once again and to do this we need both quality and quantity of troops. Quantity is simply a matter of recruitment, while quality is something we expect of and will also train in our members.

To help with quality I have put together a tactics website (https://sites.google.com/site/planetsidetactics/) to help guide our members to play together as effectively as possible. Our platoon aims to be the most coordinated in the game, using voice communications to organise combined arms assaults on the enemy using the detailed tactics and strategies described on the site.

What do we expect?
Our outfit was always open to all players who were interested in working as a coordinated team and we will continue this in Planetside 2, expecting all our members to use Teamspeak to aid coordination. We do expect our players to act maturely, with a (mental) age of at least 16. Although we play on the North American servers we have a large number of players from elsewhere including a large number (myself included) from Europe.

If you are interested in joining up head to our website at www.thevindicators.com or send me a message.

Hi there, i`m also uk based and keen to sign up. I tried registering for the Vindicator forums and got a "we dont accept spammers" message, despite filling in the captcha properly. I`ve sent a message to the webmaster as directed, but am a bit puzzled by what the problem was.

Hope this can be resolved soon.

Odd, try again but I'll ask our website guy also.

Please do, tried again today and got this again....

"Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error"

The contact us message i sent hasnt yet had a reply.

If someone could set up an account for me, with the name "Yelena", i`d be happy, but i`d wager this problem might be stopping others from registering, so it definitely needs fixing.

At PAX a bunch of Vindicators met up and tracked down Higby for a drink and a few questions.

Damn, wish I'd been able to join them. Unfortunately, the weekend tickets were sold out before I could get them. Ah well.

And yeah, you folks looking to join up, this outfit is the real deal. I joined up with two other outfits prior to joining the Vindicators. Those other outfits kinda petered out and folded before the first year of Planetside was over and done with. Then I joined these guys and shortly after, I never wanted to leave.

They're not super-hardcore but get professional real quick when the action's on, kind of casual-professional. We'll ask you to cut the chatter when the heat is on but when it's not, there's plenty of room to chat, joke and connect with your fellow outfitmates. Everybody's nice and you don't have to worry about massive egos causing drama, we tend to show them the door real quick.

I also joined with ambitions of leadership and learned from some of the best leaders I'd ever served with, eventually joining them myself. There's plenty of upward mobility for anyone with leadership talent, and plenty of people to learn from. Hell, I'll definitely pass on a few pointers myself if you want to take a turn at the helm. ;)

You don't have to be the best shot to join us, and if you're the sort who racks up the kills but can't work with a team, we don't want ya. But, if you want to be the best, work with the best, and work for goals that really matter, join The Vindicators. We stick together, fight for meaningful objectives and look after our own.

I've been with The Vindicators since 2003 when the visionary himself Dviddleff/Vindicore created the outfit. The Vindicators are more than just an outfit/guild/clan, we are a community and our members are close knit like a dysfunctional family of gamers.

I wrote this little war story up back in 2009, for a thread we had in our forums where we retold our favourite moments in the outfit. and I believe Rock Paper Shotgun ran it in a contest they had for best Planetside War Stories. This is the unedited full of curse words version you would expect to hear directly from my mouth.

Outfit Wars: There was this Uber Elite TR outfit that was supposed to just clean the floor with everyone. I don;t remember their name :p , just that they were TR and made good looking corpses.

Anyways we are FLYING off the resurgence in numbers that has happened since this outfit wars thing. I remember the first match some absurd number like 60 people showed up to be part of it and we had to turn half the people away because we didn't have room for everyone. The Platoon was composed primarily of old school Vindicators that dusted off their gear for one last hoorah. These matches were fuckin epic.

First off We had Barney running the show. I personally had always thought Barney was a snot nosed jackass as he really showed up after my prime time in PS. I always just heard him and Kazzo running their mouths but their was no denying that they were killing machines. What I really didn't know was how naturally gifted he was at organizing and leading people. Which was funny...because let's be honest Barney sounded like a dork, but the guy absolutely knew his shit, and could run circles around me in PS like I wasn't there. Besides he is a GREAT guy.

Second we had Cephus. Mr. Smart ass, but god dammit he was funny as hell, and a hell of a Magrider pilot. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE loved Cephus. You could be getting the shit kicked out of you but if Cephus was there you still had a smile on your face.

GSKPS1 was there, the dude is solid as a rock, and he was running our defense. His group of 10 guys could hold off double their numbers and not break a sweat.

IceGargoylle...really is there any that was ever better in a VS MAX suit than this guy? He never seemed to be out of it and was always carving his way through infantry like they were made of playdough.

Chaff67, MY GOD is there a happier man in existence? seriously? I miss Chaff he was a great guy and a MEAN skygaurd gunner

Raumy. Fuckin Raum...I swear I've NEVER seen anything more pathetic than what we dubbed, "The Raum effect". This kid (*who I will admit is a little hottie*) joins the outfit and has EVERY SINGLE GUY falling over themselves talking to her. Ventrillo was like a nightclub where 30 drunk guys are trying to hit on the one hot chick that is WAY out of their league. It was embarrassing and some of the things they said just made me /facepalm. BUT, Raum was a great medic/hacker and she was crazy dependable.

Btron, Raziel, DrifterBG, Woop, NethawK, Tssha, MaximusRudeDog, Zeke, Dave and a whole shitload of others that I simply just can't remember. Was Snorfy there?? I can't remember...There were many others and we cycled through as many of our guys as possible so that everyone would get a chance to play in one of these events.

ANYWAYS: the day came where we were going to go up against this TR outfit. They had blown everyone out of the water and had their sights set on us. They were all shit talking about how they were just going to walk over us like nothing.
- We had other plans

We made the decision to play a defensive game, this was NOT popular with some of our guys, I remember Ice being as pissed as I've ever seen him and threatened to quit if we ever pulled that kind of shit again. But in retrospect it was a brilliant strategy, because we were there to prove a point. Nobody walks over us.

So the day comes, GSKSP1 has his defense squad all geared up and in position, mines and turrets are EVERYWHERE. Barney has everyone on the same page. We are going to roll Skygaurds and Magriders and when the TR rush us in their skeeters like we know they will do we will be waiting. Me and someone else were the lone Starfire MAX's on this glorious Anti Air day.

The match started and just like we expected in came a squadron of skeeters afterburners roaring, going for the gen drop as per usual (they were so predictable)....problem was...they never even got close! 5 Skygaurds, 5 Magriders and 2 Starfires lit those motherfuckers up! You could tell that they were like WTF!@!!?? But they didn't stop and they kept coming, but again we dropped them, a few squeaked through but GS's squad were fuckin ANIMALS on defence and no one even broke the seal on the base.
I remember I was sitting there on a hill with a huge shit eating grin on my face blasting the hell out of Skeeter after skeeter, and what I couldn't bring down the flak of the skygaurds or Lasers from the maincannons of our Magriders tore to pieces. These guys were getting absolutely fucked up but they were coming hardcore and little by little they would get closer to their goal.

Now...as luck would have it the match was coming to an end. There was time for one last push. Barney made the call, "Defend the base!" so all our forces turtled and it was a damn smart move because this time they brought EVERYTHING. 30 Skeeters screamed through the sky, and I remember thinking..."oh fuck"...We brought down as many as we could and the fighting was ferocious, but they had no intentions ok keeping those birds in the air, they all just ditched them the moment they were over our base.

Now this.....this was bad. As much as I hate to admit it these guys were good at what they did. If they got their foot in the door you were in alot of trouble because they came at you guns blazing and their firepower simply trumped everyone elses. On this day however they ran into 30 of the most determined bastards ever, because there was no fucking way in hell we were going to lose. Not now, not this day and especially not to these tomatoes. As the match's final seconds ticked down we were mopping up the remains of their forces.

The forums after this LIT UP, and the TR were spouting off about how much we sucked and we were cowards and blah blah blah. The reality was, they did not steam roll through us and they were denied victory by some of our finest. We may not have "won" per se but it was IMHO our greatest victory. :-D

Great story Kurz, always puts a smile on my face that we ruined KotoR's perfect record.

My story... I took a while getting into the game on the first day, and by the time I was in the outfit was already started up and we had over a squad together (no platoons then, so not really sure). Anyway, I log in and with no vehicle have to hoof my way to Cyssor. Through the entire of Esamir, north to south to get to the right warpgate (no broadcast gates then kids, and 15 minute HART timers).

Before I even get to Jarl I hear the whine of engines; my outfit arrives in a near full Galaxy to pick me up with fighter escort.

After that I knew the game and the outfit was going to be everything I hoped for - and I hadn't even seen the enemy or done my first hot drop.

Hey guys,
It is really tough to say what my favorite planetside moment is. There are so many different stories of mass infantry drops on bases from sanct to massive gal drops to huge rolling armored convoys to steady advance of massed infantry across the rolling hills of planetside. What all these different situations have in common though is that no matter what mission the vindicators were given we adapted and accomplished the mission becoming masters of every kind of warfare in planetside.

Today I've been updating our tactics site, which you can find through my signature.

Specifically I have added:

Tactical task and purpose page following discussion with DarkAce.
Resource details to the Strategy page following the discussion my Vindicators had with Matt Higby at PAX East.
Details added to territory capture mechanics in the same section, following analysis on the PSU forums by Malorn.

Looks like your forum is down for maintenance at the moment but you guys look like just the outfit I'm looking for.

I started PS1 in the open beta with the Vana Sovereignty being my first empire despite aweful weapons to begin with (40 round clip Quasar, 2 ammo per AV shot, Beamer and Pulsar ticklers - common pool empire anyone? :)).

VS still feels like 'home' to me if you get what I mean and I intend to go into PS2 as VS.

I'm also based in the UK, however, I don't get an enormous amount of time to game these days (I hope that doesn't matter?) but the time I do get I want to be organised and have fun!

I'm a pretty well rounded player but do love MAXs, tank driving/gunning, Galaxy flying, MA/assault rifles, infantry AV and finally sniping in particular.

Happy to sign up if these skills fit your play style and you're interested in another recruit?

Cheers - TerminatorUK :)

I remember Barneyninja, Sharpsh0oter, Jevil and I dropping the NC as they tried to enter through the back door of a bio-lab. We all were using the bolt driver and had been sniping all across Searhus that day. Still got the screenshot somewhere lol. One of my best memories while with a large Vindies platoon was loading up AV troops and AA max units in a bangbus in search of unfortunate vehicle operators on Oshur? lol

my best story however is too long so i posted it with a proposition of mine in the planetside 2 section of the vindicator forums

When Planetside 1 was in beta, I was at uni, no G/F, kids etc.. and tons of free time.

I've been with the Vindicators since the start, and I was there during Outfit Wars on GSK's defense. If I remember correctly, he and I stonewalled anyone who tried to hit the roof. They couldn't get through us no matter how hard they tried.

I have 2 favourite moments in Planetside:

First one was when the islands were new and vehicles were still allowed on them. On the island meant for vehicle combat, all three sides took a base and were bolstering their defenses for what was going to be an EPIC vehicle war.

Having ZeeWeazel (I think) in my mag gunner's seat, we decided to take a look around and take a few pot shots to see what the enemies were up to. We were zooming around and didn't see anything. We went over a dune that lead into a small crater and THERE WERE TONS OF VANGUARDS all crammed in there. Being a magrider, we just travelled over them, with both our guns blazing.

Over voice comms, I remember saying "OH $()# GUYS! THEY'RE ON MY POSITION! A SEA OF VANGUARDS" and they ended up chasing us out of the crater. Pretty sure those at our base saw my lone mag running away from a lot of firepower and our flyers went to work.

The second best was when BarneyNinja and I were leading 2 squads and there saw the 3 day stalemate at Tore was still going on. We were laying siege to it and weren't able to break their defenses.

We got 2 gals together and went over to Cyssor. My galaxy dropped on the roof, and Barney's dropped at the back door. We just dropped, went in, and raped everything inside. Our medics revived any of us who fell.

Our assault was enough to get into the CC and start the hack, our back door offense overwhelmed their defenses allowing us to push them inside of the base. Our fellow VS setup closer AMSes and ran up to support the CC. Within 15 minutes the base was our.

No prouder feeling than 20 of us breaking a 3 day stalemate and getting the job done.

Now signed up to the site and it's great to join you guys :)

So while everyone is telling war stories, I thought I'd throw one of my own in.

The battle of Tower 29.
So this was way back when I was with my old VS outfit 'ICE'. A squad of us were pinned down inside a lone tower after a large NC army had almost pushed us back to the sea. We were JUST about holding our own, with screams of "STAY AWAY FROM THE DOORS!" and the odd person trying to get a look from the roof and getting their heads blown off. Things were getting desperate, but high command had promised us reinforcements, so we just had to hold out until then!

All of a sudden there was the sound of all hell breaking loose outside the tower. "This is it! We're saved!" we all thought. Cheers from our squad started to broadcast across our communications net and teamspeak. Then we had an ominous message from high command: "We regret that we are unable to provide reinforcements at this time. Troops are still being held up locking down Cyssor. ETA to your position: 30mins." One of my troopers turned to me and said "But if that's not them outside, then who...?" he quickly ran to the roof to try and see what was happening. "It's a whole other army! The TR have just turned up and we're stuck in the middle!" he shouted.
For another 2 more hours we held out, taking shots were we could and keeping the enemy from pushing inside; all before our own VS army came screaming out of the warp gate to take back the bases previously lost.

It may have only been a silly tower, but to us it was our last bastion of VS hope on that whole blasted continent; and to the 29 men and women who walked proudly out of there - it was a day we would never forget.

Hey Kilmoran, our little alliance really did steamroll at release in DFO! It was disheartening to leave the game but Darkfall's septic community was really it's own worst enemy. Anyone who's looking for an awesome outfit for a VS player, the search begins and ends here. I got an invite from my RL friend ChaosFox to join these guys in the winter of 2003 and I never looked back and had an an absolute blast with them, no matter what was going on.

From the ill-fated, but hilarious, "Ride of the Valkyries" gal drop, to th more successful gal drops and everythin in between, these are people that I am proud to call my brothers (and sisters) in arms. Not only have we steamrolled continents before, but we've also managed to hold a base against a combination of TR and NC forces...I think that was somewhere around an 8 hour hold of one base in the middle of Cyssor.

We have great leaders, plain and simple that listen to everyone in the outfit and take their thoughts into account about the current plan. We have stellar soldiers that can and will adapt in the blink of an eye, rolling with the punches all the way.

Even though it does sound regimented, it's not just this...we remember to have fun. And do we...

- Kurz's Sundy Bus of Doom

- The Magrider nicknamed the "Big-Assed Church Woman" or something to that effect...I can't remember fully, but it involved one of our members remarking that if you fishtail the Magrider, it becomes that big-assed woman at church that shoves you halfway down the pew when she whomps you with her ass when she goes to sit down.

- Basilisk (me) becoming a hood ornament on a Vanguard...and winning.

- Outfit night with two other VS outfits, rolling 12 squads deep on one continent at once...god, that was fun.

There's so much more that I can't remember because it's been so long, but for me to stay with one outfit since 2003 says a lot. We're a lot of fun and can give you the fights that you desire.

To go old school..."Beware the skies, for they bring swift vengeance."

@static Avis.

Really to sum up who the vindicators are is simple trust & respect. As stated previously we formed before the release of the PS1 closed beta & have been active in one form or another ever since. We enjoy having fun but when it becomes game time everyone knows that the leadership is doing their best to not only win the fight but maybe even more important to make sure that everyone playing has a great time.

I like what I am seeing after checking out your group. My only concern is whether or not you have time requirements for your members. I know a lot of coordinated groups do. For me irl comes first and there are times where I don't log on for a week due to commitments irl. Would this be a problem?

I've been a Vindicator since 2004. I literally grew up being a Vindicator (I joined at 14, I believe, 21 now).

My favorite Vindicator moment was during the outfit wars of 2006. The outfit wars pitted 2 outfits 30 vs 30 in a 3-hour battle. We were fighting a fairly strong outfit and were nearing the end of the 3-hour time limit. If neither team managed to hack the other's base before time ran out, the game would be a tie.

With just 5 minutes left, we all gathered at our AMS for a final offensive. We pushed to their CC, put a hack on their base, and then sent a squad to down their tubes. With just a minute or so remaining, we managed to put the hack on, and ended up successfully defending it for the remaining 15 minutes to score a victory.

@Arokel, we don't have any time restrictions. If you come online for 5 minutes, or if you come online for 5 hours, we'll take you!

The only time we kick members is if they haven't been online for a long time (we're talking months and months) and/or we need to make room for new members (should we hit a cap). That being said, if you only come on once in a blue moon for a short time, there may be a chance of being kicked for inactivity... but most of us agree there isn't really a reason to kick for inactivity.

When you come online, join the fun, make yourself known, and we'll keep you around :D

Another one of my favourite war stories was holding a base on cyssor I think it was... My outfitmate Onxtinct and I were manning the turrets at the front gate after heading a large force was coming in. Our plan was to hold them back until our turrets exploded.

What I saw was one of the largest forces I have faced in planetside. It was like a wall of armour, tanks, and other means of death coming for us. They crested the hill and we both opened fire. I guess the others in the base heard us firing because we were suddenly backed by all our empiremates in the base.

I didn't let off the trigger the entire time and we managed to keep them back for our airforce to come in and start straffing them. Engineers were repairing the turrets to keep them from exploding. For 30-40 minutes I kept the trigger down, hitting anything that came towards me. I still have screenshot buried in the depths of my computer's hard drive of that massive battle.

I joined back some 7-8 years ago. I would say I remember this one time when I was laughin on Vent/TS but I am always laughin on Vent/TS.

There's some good stories here and they stir up some great memories for me and it makes me hope for the future and PS2 and new stories and memories with some of these old people and some new people. It will be nice to tell my stories to some new people and get some new laughs.

I would say the greatest thing I took away from PS1 was this outfit and these friends in this cyber world. The greatest and strongest memory for me didn't even happen ingame it happened on the road trip named "Gen Drop at GSK's".

GSKSP1 only lived 2 hours south of me so I decided to go visit and spend a weekend. Thats how it started just 2 guys gonna get together have a few beers visit with his wife and kids and enjoy a summer weekend. Well we decided to see if anyone else wanted to meet us in the middle of ohio and a few beers too. I insisted on picking up Kurzgan (Which was 3 hours in the wrong direction lol) we also picked up DrifterBG and Tssha.

POC3442, Vess and Icegargoyle met us there and we had a blast. It was a road trip straight out of some movie filled with fun, laughs and adventure.

The day I joined The Vindicators I didn't just get myself an outfit I got myself a new kind of community and some lifelong friends.

The best part about that trip was how it came together in a matter of hours.

"Hey man wanna hit up GSK's place and drink some beer?"

"Sure"

"Shit I wanna go but I can't get down, and I'm broke."

"No prob I'll pay for half your plane ticket, and we'll pick you up at the airport"

"I want to come too, I'll grab a bus down to the border and meet you there"

"Sure we'll grab you at the bus station then hop over the border"

I still have a bad feeling there are pictures of me out there passed out with my hand down Cephus's pants or some awful shit. :p

I can't confirm it 100% because it's been so long... but this may have been me because this maneuver was pretty much my superpower in game.

My one regret in PS1 was not being able to blast my namesake song out the window as I surfed on by and Mag-mowed somebody's best chum.

I joined the Vindicators in Dec 2004. I came over from the BattleTech community when MechWar 4 was growing old. I played with a few Outfits before Vinds in PS1 and none of them could come close to the Vindicators. Some of my MechWarrior friends were like you have to join the Vindicators so I did and 8 year later still I am a member.

We game together, go to convention together, go out drinking together, and help out each other with PC parts when needed. It's hard to find another community like the Vindicators around. We try to make sure everyone is having fun and not take are self to seriously.

We are currently tweaking our forums and website, and I am overhauling the tactics site to make it more user friendly.

While a lot of the players are from the US there are a growing number of us from the EU like myself who have joined, our plan is to have a Vindicator presence threw out the day due to different times zones and to have organised teamwork for the VS day by day.

Just something to think about we welcome all from around the world.

The tactics site has been thoroughly checked and proof read. New notes have been added to give it more character and I have rearranged some of the sections to make it easier to digest and train from.

I'm finally gonna poke my head in here and give a shot at convincing someone to join.

I was introduced to PlanetSide by a friend while the open beta was starting. This was my first MMO and I didn't realize how important it was to play in large organized groups. So he and I just ran around in an attempt to familiarize ourselves with the game. I fell in love with it instantly after seeing a front line push by a handful of mags and a few dozens troops. I really wanted to be part of something like that. Fortunately, I had/have more time for games than my friend did/does so I picked up the game and created my character on release. I was lucky to get an invite from The Vindicators that first day.

Now I know there are a lot of good guilds out there, but there are also many that don't last long. So it may become a crap shoot to decide who to join. I can comfortably say that our outfit lasted a solid 4-5 years in Planetside before people went on to other things. This may have been more due to the state of the game than anything. It was at this time that we changed our status as a PlanetSide outfit to a Gaming Community. We've become a group of people that enjoy playing games with each other, and are excited to have an opportunity to add to our ranks. Needless to say, we are now chomping at the bit to get our hand on PlanetSide 2.

tl;dr The Vindicators are a legit community of gamers that originated in PlanetSide and will most likely last quite awhile longer with PlanetSide 2 coming "soon."

All of the memories I have from playing with the The Vindicators in PlanetSide are literally all my memories of PlanetSide. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to game with.

We've had a lot of old members come back to join us, which can really show just how good of a time we had in the past. People hear about Planetside 2, and they come looking to see if we're still alive... we're talking people who haven't been around for 5+ years.

I wouldn't have played Planetside for as long as I did, and I definitely wouldn't have played half of the games I have, if it wasn't for the Vindicators. We've had successful stints in Guild Wars 1, TOR, Voyage century online, Global agenda, just to name a few.

When I talk to people about the games I play, I always, always mention the Vindicators because the members add a whole new level of fun and gameplay with every game we play.

I started playing Planetside back in '03 with my roomie and fell in love with it right away. I was playing on Markov at the time so I never ran into the Vindicators. I ran with a few different outfits, never really found a good fit though. As the hype for PS2 began to build I decided to do a little research and find a stable and good outfit for PS2, that's when I found the Vindicators. I was looking for an outfit with a history on PS1 and one that was casual and fun but still serious about tactics and gameplay. I must say playing with you all on PS1 for the past few weeks has been AWESOME! Dropping that bus on the roof and taking the gen room on Oshur, sneaking that backhack on the TR in that bio lab on Hossin, just great fun. Good tactics, good gameplay and I just love to listen to all the crazy banter on TS. Even though these guys have a long history I have not once felt like an outsider when playing with them. Thanks for letting me into your little world and I really look forward to playing PS2 with you all.

I encourage everyone to give the Vindicators serious consideration when looking for an outfit.

Hi, I'm Elays/Kelwas. I am here to extoll the virtues of the Vindicators for noobs. Why noobs? Because I'm a noob.

Okay not really, I've been playing video games for quite some time. And I did play Planetside, but I only started after the release of Aftershock. And I picked the Vindicators for my outfit because, aside from the friendly-yet-professional atmosphere they cultivate, they are also humble.

Not humble in the "aw shucks" kind of way, but as in the opposite of elitist. There are a number of outfits on these boards that are positioning themselves as the "best of the best", or as specializing in something to a level of extreme skill. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. But I enjoy all aspects of gameplay, and I know I'm not the most amazing player. I simply wanted a team that will, through effective tactics and simple communication, make us much more effective as a group than as individuals.

I plan on doing my best to become part of a new Vindicators cadre for Planetside 2, leading a squad and emulating the sort of respectful, coordinated atmosphere that I so appreciate. If there are those of you who will put your squad above yourself and have fun doing it, I want you by my side. I don't need the best shots or the oldest veterans, I need team mates. If that's what you want too, join the Vindicators.

We currently have 70 people signed up to play the game in our different divisions - air, armour, infantry and recon. One of our new members has put together some really impressive badges, which you can see a sample of below:

The Vindicators have been the only Outfit I have been in that is a family. There is always someone there to help out, whether in game or out. Every day that I am in this outfit there always someone that amazes me as what they are willing to do for their fellow Outfit member.

When I joined the Vindicators it was the first Outfit that, that I was not looked down at if I needed help or needed to ask a dum question., someone always was there to help, we work to make every feel a part of the team and have a great time gaming. I cannot mention the number of times someones computer died and was short on cash and after one post on the message board there was always some willing to donate a part to get them back in game. I am not sure why anyone would want to join any other outfit.
