BRIEF OVERVIEW & HISTORY

Toxin is an organized, active and mature Multi-Game Clan, based mainly in North America with a minority of Europeans. Toxin was officially formed during the fall of 2006 when a group of online gamers whose talents and ambition encouraged them to collaborate in creating a successful online community.

Since then, Toxin has evolved into a full, online gaming outfit.

Experience in the management and coordination of massive online tournaments, as well as online clan battles, has provided our leaders with the knowledge and ability to cope with the challenges of running an effective and structured Clan. Many of our members have had extended experience in playing Battlefield 2, involved a massive 30 vs. 30, 10 hours battles, twice a week, in a very military, organized and strategic manner.

Of course it isn't all serious! The point of any game is to have fun, and that is our end goal. We like to joke and mess around, but when it comes time to get down and dirty we take care of business..

We consist of adults between the ages of 18-50, a certain level of maturity is required.



OUR GOALS

We are an Outfit oriented towards casual play with a balanced amount of organization.

Operations are run several times a week and during the regular days/nights we have the option for members to either play under the command of our Field Commanders or pub whilst on Teamspeak with friends.

Usually when somebody is hating on stealth, it is because in the last 14 years or so, of it existing in many mass muti-player games, they have yet to master the many easy ways to counter it. Cracker is right to stick to his spray and pray methods. Anything more complicated is sure to be a failure.

True. I just joined TOXIN to play Planetside 2 with these guys, But I have been gaming with them for years. I played in a BF2 Tournament (BF2C) for years. They are all mature, dedicated players (if somewhat juvenile in forums). It has been an honor to game with them, and it will be a lot of fun to do it again.

On the Toxin forums I am GregSJ. Goyo is short for Gregorio, a nickname of mine. I believe I used to be registered at your forums with the name Spif or Spiflicated. The games I played with you were quite a while ago. LotRO, 9Dragons, AA, and I forgot what else.

They should open the beta for PS2 already. I have a serious itch to play it.

I have been playing a really cool space based pvp game named Black Prophecy. Unfortunately, it isn't polished so it does have a lot of bugs/glitches. It does have awesomely good pvp though so that is enough to keep me coming back for more.

I was hanging out on your teamspeak server for the Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event. The game looks very good but I fear like most mmorpgs it will require too much time and feel like a second job.

As far as ops, there will be practice ops set up for the 2 primary time zones, EST/PST.

The Ops will include basic drills from the ground up, meaning that pilots will also have to participate in some ground combat, along with their aerial duties.

Once we get a feel for Planetside 2, we will decide in detail what our MO as an Outfit really is :vsrocks:

We play a bunch of games, many of us used to play LoL, but moved to DOTA 2.

We're engaged in several FPS's as well, including BF3 and ARMA (Mostly the DayZ Mod)

As far as our numbers go, we have a regular core of about 25 people in various games at the moment as we all wait for PS2. We do have several members coming back from years ago, thus making our member count for PS2 close to around 30-35.

Everything will be organized so the battles will be great, we wont run around lone wolfing and dying :D. One of toxin's biggest strength's is organized teamwork.

That's Naz's attempt at appearing more "structured". While we aim for organized team play when we're all gaming together, that document will likely serve as a generalized outline.

You'll find that we work together quite well without barking orders. That being said, doing what you want sometimes is what gets the job done (at times). I for one, love to grab one other guy and head into the backfield... however, I know when my help is needed.

Basically, the idea is don't wander too far on your own as you are much less likely to get help if you need it, and if the team needs help you are less likely to get there fast enough to make a difference.

If you are looking for a bunch of guys (last check we had no gals... *wink* sausage fest) who know how to work as a team without going crazy and are looking for a clan/unit/guild that can provide you with years of entertainment... we're the guys. We are a mixed bunch. I met a lot of these guys 8 + years ago, was not sure about it but im still here having as much fun as i did the first day. It all works out in the end. I only play 1 or 2 of the games they play but we have fun every time i'm online!

Uni is a good corp to start out with, I never was in it but know a couple good pilots that came from that corp.

Although we do enjoy a structured environment, as many of our members enjoy that aspect of organized play, we certainly have a good time. Most of us have full time jobs and families but personally it has been my experience that a certain hierarchy lends itself to a more enjoyable experience for most.

Although we all enjoyed COD, we were very competitive in CAL and TWL, the allure of massive organized play has brought many of our older members back who enjoyed the day of BF2 Combat.

Although our structure is not for everyone I'm confident that the majority will not only have a good time, but will enjoy winning as well..

For people reading this and thinking about Toxin. Remember, you don't need to join or spend the time to do an app if you aren't sure we make sense for you. Just hop on TS. Grow a pair and drop into game channel and simply say hello. I'm confident you'll find a welcoming bunch most likely playing BF3, Day Z Mod, HON, Dota 2, Elder Scrolls, or sitting in the chit chat channel bitching about politics.

I honestly cannot think of another outfit that seems to have such a similar outlook on the game as you Toxin and we seem to share.

Not just the organized yet also fun thing (which is tough.. anyone who ever played with Tactical Gamer or BA can attest o that, Organized, without the fun, is no fun at all) but just the closeness of your community there, the respect you all have, not just for each other but for other outfits in the game. I do know though that toxin needs more members. My goal would be to run 2 armies on a combined front. For that our armies are set up to run full at 74 so that means 2 needs 148. To be full at that for long periods of time I'm thinking 300 active members.
