Since beta, our unit has focused on strength through the specific application of massive and overwhelming force. Simply put, we divide up into specifications and coordinate their use.
We have over 1200 members on the roster, with over 1000 active in any given week. With an average of 150-350+ online at any given time, day or night. We have an Operations Commander online 24 hours a day to keep our force moving in the right direction. If you haven't served in the 666th, you know someone who has.

Our major effectiveness comes from mobile, combined, coordinated arms.


Air Wing provides transport and cover.
Armor Team smashes, grabs and carries.
Shadow Team (Infiltrator) contains the edges of a battle, channels enemy forces where we want them and performs saboteur strikes.
Rapid Response Team can be anywhere doing anything at a moments notice.
MAX Crash Team "M.C.T." performs forced entries on bases and towers.


We turn the tide of battle. Our tactics are based on years of online team play, and a sound understanding of basic military tactics and the application of force.

We've been here since the beginning and wrote the book on large outfits and mobilizing large offensive forces. We host special events and hold an official weekly Operation every Saturday at Noon Pacific.

We play to win and to make our opponents say "OMG, WTF just happened at (insert base here)?!?!?!!"

To sum up, we have had the most members, most outfit points, most combined kills, most bases capped of any other team on ALL servers.

The 666th is the only outfit to have ever been awarded it's own Merit and has the only member of the Planetside community to have been named an SOE Player of the Year.

*CODE OF CONDUCT*

As Devil Dogs, we share the nickname of the United States Marine Corps. We expect all members to uphold the honor that our name carries. Below is a list of requirements, expectations and some standard operating procedures that will facilitate our ability to function as a cohesive combat force.


Be civil and show respect to all players, whether they be friend or foe.
Any disagreements should be kept from public channels and resolved in a mature manner through private /tells. We understand that this is an intense game, and all players are human, but when an argument happens ... let it go.
Absolutely no intentional killing of anyone in the New Conglomerate. If you are killed (intentionally or not) by another NC player, DO NOT retaliate. Retaliation only perpetuates TK'ing and makes you and the 666th look bad. Other players observing may not have seen the events preceding and will ONLY see you killing a team mate. This effects the perception of the entire outfit so save the bullets for the Terrans and Vanu.
If you accidentally kill someone by running them over, shooting them, or catching them in an explosion etc... apologize if you can. This will alleviate many problems. If you find yourself causing friendly-fire incidents often, please be more careful. If you can't drive without running people over, you don't belong behind the wheel. If you can't use grenades or rockets without killing friendly troops, you need to learn how to use those weapons properly.
Joining a squad is not mandatory, but if you do, obey your squad leader's orders as well as orders you receive from outfit commanders. The Planetside experience is best when we are functioning as a coordinated, cohesive force. Following orders is one of the many challenges of being in a squad. Orders are not issued because we want to tell people what to do, they are given so that the overall objectives are achieved and so that we can succeed as an outfit, and ultimately, an empire. Accept the challenges of the role you play, and do your best to follow orders. If you cannot fulfill your orders or do not agree with them, send your squad leader a /tell. Do not be insubordinate in public. Always keep in mind that commanders put a lot of effort into monitoring "the big picture". Even tasks which may seem hopeless or unwinable to the individual do contribute to the greater good by drawing enemy assets off of another target.


Violations of the CoC will result in a warning. Repeated violations will result in further consequences such as suspension and banning.

This then prevents the forum overlapping when in a small window/res - most people have a resolution higher than 960px so it will be fine.

In the context of your original statement, you would understand that 616 and 666 are accepted variants of each other, 666 is socially accepted and more popular in the U.S.--therefor more catchy. Additionally pig already said that had nothing to do with it, I'm only rebutting the statement regarding the number and not the name, since I wasn't around in PS1.

Evilpig has said it will most likely be West coast. All the PS2 servers will physically be in the same location so if you're worried about latency, don't be.

Also, until Beta is out & the server list is defined there is no way to tell at this point. If it makes sense *not* to be west coast then I'm sure it won't be. We'll just have to judge.

Hey there, me and some of my gaming-companions are looking around for an outfit that suits us well, so I'm just interested in asking some questions so far :)

We'll be 4-8 people in total and most of us are Europeans. You mentioned that you have EU-players in your Outfit as well but while looking through your applications I could only find americans ( and a guy from/living in japan ). I didnt check -all- of them obviously but I was just wondering: Can you guarantee activity 24 hours of a day with such a low amount of Europeans?

Your outfit seems really great and all, we're all definitely interested in it- the others really insist on going for an NA-Outfit but personally I really fear doing so due the possibility of there not being much team-activity present when I login at 10-11 in the evening my time (afternoon your time), ready to kick som ass with my comrades till 3 at night when it's time for bed. I am just a grunt, but judging by the numbers and composition of 666th, there will always be people on. Myself, I'm an American on the East Coast who is usually online in the morning/afternoon, and there are always people on TS. I'd love it if you joined us. Hell, I'd even fly you and your friends around in my Galaxy and hot-drop you on bases.

It's very likely you will see activity. We also had Americans that work night shifts, or military stationed overseas. Sure, there will be prime times that you may miss, but you will certainly see activity.

In Planetside 1 our "night crew" consisted of EU and Asia players. Dead of the night would still have at least a squad going, sometimes 2. Of course, it helps if our EU players recruit during the night as well.

666th Devil Dogs: A Completely Honest Testimonial

Please allow me to share with you how "The 666th Devil Dogs" changed my life and in a very real and substantive way allowed me to overcome a severe crisis in my personal life.

It is well known that the premise of the New Conglomerate is freedom and liberty for all. Before discovering the Devil Dogs, I knew nothing of these principles except for what my military commanders in the Terran Republic had told me, and had actually participated in suppressing the "rebel dogs" on many occasions.

My service was distinguished, and my loyalty fervent. I quickly earned myself a transfer into the Terran Republic's "Loyalty Guard", which dealt with subversives and dissidents. To me, freedom became synonymous with disloyalty. I would probably still be proudly persecuting those wanting nothing more than freedom if not for an ironic turn of events.

At age 23, I found myself doing life in a maximum security prison on Amerish for the unlawful imprisonment of a suspected insurgent. In retrospect, this was awfully stiff punishment, even for the Terran Republic, but seeing as I abducted and questioned the platoon major's daughter, I suppose I can understand why my actions weren't condoned. And, as the general presiding over the case pointed out, this was my fourth conviction for the same exact crime.

In prison, I quickly developed a deep and intense disrespect for the Terran Republic. The daily brainwashing "Loyalty Seminars" I was subjected to only stoked my resentment for the forces I had fought for since I turned teen. Other inmates joked bitterly that Loyalty until Death! really meant the brainwashing would bore you to death. I would have welcomed such a fate, but my requests for the firing squad were repeatedly denied. Any accidents that I arranged merely resulted in rebirthing. That's when I started sminking.

Clearly, I had issues, but even more importantly, I was ignoring the very fabric of reality and inviting destructive influences into my life. On some subconscious level, I was deeply shocked that my life had sunk to such depths. I was a soldier, and the Terran Republic had taken my uniform. I was smart (sminking aside), and the Terran Republic had taken my sanity. I was a man, and the Terran Republic had taken my freedom.

One day after the Loyalty Seminar, word got back to me that my former CO was arranging an unpleasant visit for me the likes of which I won't elaborate on here. I returned to my cell and sat very quietly, searching myself for answers on how I could improve my life and distance myself from the harmful influences surrounding me. At that point, in what I consider to be a miraculous moment, my cellmate Jon informed me that he knew about my situation and that he had something that could solve our problems.

He handed me a copy of "Liberty's Call". Now, you might be wondering how New Conglomerate propaganda found its way into a maximum security prison. The truth is, the Terran Republic spends so much on ammunition that there isn't funding enough to cover paper for the necessary, and it just so happened that a squadron of Liberators (which I later found out were part of the 666th Devil Dogs) was kind enough to disburse a box of the aforementioned pamphlets over Amerish. But I digress...

Normally, I wouldn’t have turned to anything with blue and gold, even to resolve such a severe and immediate threat, but I literally didn’t have any other available alternatives. I immediately opened the pamphlet and began to read.

The first few pages dealt with something called the "Call of Freedom". The theoretical nature of the first few pages wasn't exactly putting me at ease. In fact, I threw the pamphlet down and started looking around for whatever I might could turn into a shiv, but my cellmate forced those written words back into my hands. Jon Jakes, I owe you my life for that. It was when I reached the final section, "The Key to Freedom", that I realized how this pamphlet could help me distance myself from surroundings and the negative intentions of my former CO.

I came to a realization that night, staring up at a black nothing after lights-out. The Terran Republic had taken many things from me, but they hadn't taken my freedom. I had given it to them.

The next day, Jon and I snuck our pristine propaganda pamphlets out of our cells. One found its way into warden's desk, the second under the comm officer's coffee mug. A highly-encrypted transmission containing my recipe for pruno was sent to the Devil Dogs' frequency (thoughtfully stamped on the back of their "Liberty's Call" drop), and in the chaos surrounding the prison raid and questioning of the warden, Jon and I made a break for it.

I was the lucky one, but Jon died a free man. It kills me a little inside to know that while I've been sitting here, writing this in the shade of my Galaxy, a rebirthed Jon is still imprisoned, struggling in his own way under the thumb of the Tyrant Republic.

I've only been with the 666th a few months now, but already it's more of a home than the soulless ranks of red and black that I once belonged to. I'm happy to say I've left the worst of me behind in prison, though I've become so acclimated to pruno that I can't appreciate the real stuff. Wish I still had the pamphlet that bought my freedom, so that I could hand it back to Jon when I finally get the chance to thank him in person.

And I will thank him, one day, just as I've thanked the Devil Dogs who've shown me the truth. We are going to win this death-forsaken war, and our victory won't have a damned thing to do with rebirthing or any other kind of fancy new tech introduced on the battlefield. At the end of the day, this war is about something older than the ancient Vanu relics. I'm writing about freedom; mankind's birthright. The thing that all the bullets and lasers in the worlds can't kill.

If you're fighting for the Terran Republic or Vanu Soveriegnty and are somehow reading this, take a moment to ask yourself why? If you can see the truth as I have, then join me in the New Conglomerate, join me in the ranks of the 666th Devil Dogs, fight to bring the war to its only inevitable conclusion; freedom for all.
