One more... I've had my eye on this for a month or two now... I can't summarize it, but it's a massive space MMO. Looks awesome. Same developer as Outerra.
This is a taste of the seamless environment

Looks awesome. I like the ship in the beginning. :)
Now that I think about it, that ship kinda looks like the CIS bomber from Star Wars: Battlefront 2! Did anyone else notice that??? http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/6/69/Belbullab-24.jpg

This looks a hell of a lot like what I think a Freelancer 2 would/should look like if it were made today.

Very cool. I wonder what type of gameplay they have in mind that'll take advantage of that technology they've developed.

Yes, I-Novae, the company developing this technology, is now concentrating on making the engine, when thats finished they will start developing the actual game ("Infinity").
By the way, I-Novae is not developing the "Outerra" engine, Outerra is made by a different developer.

Seen it before.
EVE Carbon copy with a touch of a rotationary axis. That's all.

It is now!

From what I remember you couldn't do that with planets in EVE... in fact I remember warping right though them as if they were made of nothing!

Maybe watch the clip, then use your head to see how stupidly wrong that statement is.

Damn this looks awesome. I was really looking forward to Jumpgate Evolution.. But that failed.. And Black Prophecy looked decent but I couldn't get into it.

Not sure what I think about this yet. It looks good and I like the free form flight mechanics. But they don't really show any game mechanics.

And this game will take serious use of player generated contents from what I heard. Of course that's the only feasible option I guess...

I've been wanting a good space fps shooter for a while. One with a persistent economy and warfare. Basically planetside meets EVE (what jumpgate should of been) with player outfit controlled capital ships and the like. I just can't get into how slow EVE is and how inflated the economy is - watching my ship shoot shit while I sit there is just not that much fun to me ;)

I'm with you on that one. I always try to get back into EVE and end up bored and quitting within a week.
I wish they would start a new server. That would be fun - it would be like the wild west.

I started to hate eve after capitol ships debuted. I still want to know how a Battleship is not a capitol ship...

That's what i say! they need to regularly reset the server and speed it up. The most fun i had in that game was the first few weeks of release... the tech rush and developing the economy was HUGE fun. But now you don't have a hope in hell doing any of those things unless you've been playing religiously since release.
They'll never do it though :\

I agree, they should be more innovative and try some different things. I really really really want to play a cool space MMO but EvE is so slow and boring I can't get into it.
