Hi everyone, my name is Sean but you guys can just call me Sonar90 or just SoNaR for short. I heard about this forum on one of those SoE dev Webcasts, and decided to sign up. ^^

I love Gaming, Programming, and Aviation, but mostly I love gaming and more importantly shooters. I play competitive on Battlefield 3 with TPRG (TeamPurge.com). We mostly play in TWL, but we have a 4v4 squad rush team in CGL as well and I am one of the starters for that team. If any of you guys want to scrim us, add me on battlelog, my name is SoNaR-wcs-.

First online shooter I ever owned was Battlefield 2142, and since then I've been a huge Battlefield fan. I've played Bf2, Bf2142, BfBc2, and Bf3. Although each battlefield game has been awesome in its own way, my favorite is still Battlefield 2142. Even though the game is almost dead, it is and forever will be the best Battlefield game DICE has ever released (in my opinion). That is why, I think, I have become very interested in Planetside 2. Planetside reminds me of the Battlefield series and more importantly 2142 in so many ways.

Contrary to popular belief I have played other shooters outside the Battlefield series. My favorites include, Doom, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, Duke Nukem, and Mass-Effect (if that counts as a shooter? :P).

Although shooters are my favorite, I have played other games as well. Mirror’s Edge is probably one of my favorite non-shooter games, along with StarCraft, League of Legends, Age of Empires, KoToR, and the Elder Scrolls series.

I have also played a few MMO's before, most notably EVE. Although I am not really into those types of games anymore, hopefully that will change when Planetside 2 comes out. :)

Unfortunately I have never played Planetside 1 (due to the fact that I was 12 at the time of its release and had no money for the subscription ), but judging from what I've seen and heard, that game must have been amazing. I think Planetside 2, from what I've seen so far, will be just as good.

Anyways I am looking forward to getting to know all of you guys (and girls?) and hopefully I can contribute to this community in some way.

tl:dr ;)

Seriously though, nice gaming history. Mine is pretty much identical.
Although, if you do not know, PS2 will not be the same type of shooter that BF3 was/is.
I can't see 5 man A-teams being too useful in PS2. But yeah...

Welcome to the PSU forums.

and hopefully I can contribute to this community in some way.

Hop on over to the Planetside 2 Idea Vault.
So hopefully the developers can hear what you have to say. :D
