I have been asked many times by old Planetside players recently on other forums. Will C22 be back for Planetside 2...
I decided it was time to address this question in the place where most Planetside players who would be looking for us would search. The obvious, and easy answer is yes. C22 will be back for Planetside 2 and we will still be loyal to our Black and Red for life.
The Outfit was originally formed in the Beta of the original Planetside. And lasted long through the expansion though leadership was handed down when a few of us originals moved on to other games. We're looking to get back to our original Konried roots. Pissing Vanu and NC off in any way we possibly can.
We will start recruitment in Beta once we're in and still have a solid group of about 20 of us running around in different games from Battlefield 3 to Diablo 3 currently just biding time till PS2 arrives.
If you are a past C22 member and you were looking to reconnect with us after 9 long years the easiest way to find us is through our website and forums.

Or if you have steam contact me on there as trevellian, or through the C22-K steam group.
Original C22 members will take priority over all others so welcome back to the old crew, some have already gotten in contact with us through Steam or on here while we were getting the website set up. If you wish to join C22, make sure you have something you can hop on mumble and play with us to get to know us. Be it Battlefield 3, original Planetside, or one of the other games we're playing on Mumble currently.
The original Konried leadership team will be back in action once again.
So hello from Sinister, Lethal1, Trevellian and Tulka.
See you all on the battlefield or sooner.

as an NC from Emerald, C22 were one of the single most frightening TR galdrop outfits I have ever encountered. Regularly able to save hacks at under 2 minutes left to go. The two minute mark was often referred to the C22 point.
... Welcome back. I'll enjoy killing you.

Do you guys have a website or anything at the moment?

No website. We've never really used one or had a need for one. Even during the original Planetside, we just had voice chat and did recruitment through the game. We may change our mind and throw up a website at some point, still undecided. So right now just the Steam Group and Mumble server has been good enough for us. At least until PS2 releases or goes into beta and there is a lot more involvement in the actual game.

Hello Buzz. I saw Enclave was back as well. Guess the NC and VS are in trouble.
I sure hope ELH comes back, we need fodder.

Actually a few of us have renewed our Planetside 1 subscriptions and have been playing this week. So that is one more way to get back in touch with us.

No one has heard from Luesh or Sailboat since they quit Planetside. In other news I updated the original post with our website.

Yes, there was a shift in how the outfit was between Konried and Emerald, for sure.
What I always was reminded of when I bounced from outfit to outfit during my intermittent breaks from PS was that my galaxy drop training was always relevant and right on the money. That was the training I got while in C22.
I was recruited as 3point145 back on Konried, I was recruited due to my participation in a hotly contested tower drop as an infil medic that saved the day. :) I felt very honoured to be accepted as a member by C22 back in those days.

I was born an original Sinner, I was born from original sin
and if I had a dollar bill for all the "smurfs" I've killed
there would be a mountain of money piled up to my chin

I would just like to say that the original =C22= was exceptional because every member of the outfit played for the team. We didn't have members who were concerned about kill/death ratios or individual accolades. The original =C22= operated as a unselfish team. This team worked together to complete objectives that were both exciting and (more often) boring. We didn't invent generator room tactics, but certainly excelled at employing them. We didn't invent domino gen drops or lattices hacks, but we certainly became good at using the tactic. It's easy to use tactics when your members are more worried about the team than themselves.
I read posts across the board about team play and military tactics - well I can tell you that those are characteristics that embodied the original =C22= . In fact, many people don't even know my name and I was the original outfit commander. I had less kills after two years of playing than a noob with only a few months in game. I spent 75% of my game time huddled in a corner reading the tactical map and directing traffic via teamspeak. It was a great experience and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
I don't think =C22= was the best outfit, there were so many good outfits that no one stood much above the other. We were just a creative outfit. We used our friendships with fellow TR outfits to organize massive operations. These were not zergs. They were massive ops coordinated among three or four different outfits each with a specific objective and goal. Some outfits had no other objective than to create a diversion by lighting up the EW's of non target facilities. But, we each played our part and the net result was fun. I look forward to seeing many of those outfits again in PS2.
I am looking forward to PS2 and I hope that it contains the high number of mature players found in PS1. I am not sure why I am writing this long post. I know that PS1 (before the multitude of bad game changes) was a great game because it attracted great players. I hope the same for PS2. Here's to seeing many old faces and meeting many new faces in PS2
- Cheers

Woah!!! blast from the past going on here....I was part of the DBD merger back on Konried...hear from any of those boys?
I used to really enjoy fighting C22. You guys always seemed one of the best large Outfits in terms of organization and teamwork. I still remember being in fights and thinking we'd wiped you only to find the same 20 guys all pouring in through the backdoor.
I look forward to seeing you all in PS2!

@ Rat the only DBD member still hanging around is CommandantGrayza. We'd love to have you back if you're looking to join back up!
@Dart we usually had a backup plan (ams backdoor) in case we got wiped out, which happened more than im proud of =P
