WASP Inc originates from All Points Bulletin, where we were selected as the “Best Closed Beta Enforcer Clan” by the developers, Real Time Worlds. This gave us a lot of prestige, which we have carried forward to this day, nearly two years later in APB: Reloaded. While WASP Inc was originally founded on the European servers in APB, we later expanded our operations to the North American servers as the demand for our particular brand of gameplay grew. We have recently begun to move away from the idea of being a clan solely for APB, and are organizing ourselves into a proper "gaming community." Since the tech test our Planetside 2 divison has grown steadily and we are proud to bring some black and yellow to the battlefields of Auraxis. Many of our members have played the original Planetside and drawing from their experience and our well established clan in APB, we have a strong base from which to expand into Planetside 2. While we would like to have all of our members, both NA and EU, play on the same server for Planetside 2, we will run them as separate Divisions of WASP Inc if server latency proves to be to much of a challenge.

WASP Inc strongly emphasizes teamwork. We don’t care about your backgrounds or nationality, as long as you are capable of communicating clearly in English and are willing and able to work as a team. We have declined extremely skilled applicants in the past, simply because they were unable to work well with a team. While individual skill does make a difference, it is far more important to us that you be able to work with your squad members effectively. In regards to this, all members are required to use Teamspeak 3 when playing with other members. We try to hit a sweet spot between being organized and playing serious, but still fairly laid back and being able to have a laugh.

For now we are looking for all kinds of people. It doesn’t matter if you want to specialize in vehicles, aircraft, infantry or support, we currently have room for everything.

•Ability to speak and understand English sufficiently for our needs
•Ability to work in a team, to take orders and execute them

I joined these guys for APB when it re-released as APB: Reloaded, and helped found NA-East Joker Division.

I have found that these are a great bunch of level-headed people who know how to have fun, but also know how to get down to business.

Been with WASP Inc. now for around 2 years, the clan has grown, both in it's player base and also in content. We are always looking where we can improve, be it our relationships with other Clans/Outfits or our own community forums, we will always try to give our best.

The community itself is a fun loving bunch of people who enjoy gaming that can also come together to form decent teams that communicate really well. We put a lot of emphasis on teamwork and communication and that you should provide valid feedback to new members instead of shouting or screaming at them, so they have the chance to improve their game.

We also hold weekly gatherings on APB:R where the bulk of our members (HIVE) have the chance to play with and get to know the Competitive group (STING) also allowing them to get good feedback and possibly gain knowledge in the game. This also gives the STING members to play with new people, help both the new and old members improve in their game and look for any suitable new blood.

We also put emphasis on having NO elitist attitudes in the clan, yes we do have a "competitive" team, but at no time should they act elitist due to being in that situation. They are all members of one kind or another, and should treat each other as such.

Hope to see many new faces in WASP when Planetside 2 releases :)

Zuiq and Akumaka above are both our officers. We might be a bit uncommon in the sense that we have no single clan leader. We manage the clan with a group of officers and decide things together.

I'm also closing in to 2 years (in a month or two I beleive) in WASP out of which I've been an officer for maybe little more than a year. I started out by helping with applications and dealing with them, but I've since moved on to be sort of a jack of all trades-kinda officer :D While it may not be exactly official, many of our officers have sorta floated towards some more specialized field. I for one am the primary contributor and person behind our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/waspincclan) that now has approximately 1300 subscribers. We probably could have more if we just did the run of the mill montages like everyone else, but we wanted to fill a void by supplying people full unedited missions from APB with VoIP audible. We are all about working as a team, so we wanted to show how we play together.

I've been also sort of in charge with some other projects, such as our current project where we commissioned the person behind the original APB artwork style to make us a wallpaper/multipurpose picture strongly "WASPified". We are known in APB for our quite distinctive theme of black and yellow. The end product is about to be finished any day now, I can barely wait!

While we were waiting for APB:R closed beta to start (again), we started this project in minecraft. We wanted to build an underwater biodome!

While it's not even near to the coolest things built in Minecraft, we do take some pride in that project, cos it took quite a bit of hard work and no creative mode was used.

We maybe have like.. 40 guys and gals hopping on to Planetside 2 as it starts (plenty more members, but some 40 have shown interest to PS2). We plan on strongly expanding over to Planetside 2, so we need more soldiers to fight for freeeeeeedoooooom!

We are most likely gonna be observing you guys quite close anyways, as I'm sure we have plenty to learn from how you do things. As mentioned, most of our current members have more or less played Planetside at one point, but we havnt played it together as an outfit/clan. We got plenty of experience of working as a team, but never in the scale which Planetside allows, so we are all looking forward to that!

from what i know of your clan (i love your youtube channel), i really like what i see.

my concern: you're mostly EU and i'm NA. and in APB (i played a 200ish hours of that, primarily slotted OCA, gold threat enforcer on Joker) WASP is mostly EU there too.

not sure if you're planning to field a large, active outfit for NA here in PS2. or if not, both EU and NA WASPS decide to just play on same EU server if that's how PS2 servers are setup?

its a big task, but if you guys are going to go big (heavy numbers recruitment-wise) here in PS2 on the NA server then i'd be excited to be a part of it. it takes big numbers to make an impact in this game. quite a change from 4 man teams of APB :p i'm sure a couple of my more skilled fps friends would follow me to an outfit once they get access to beta. (i already have a key) they're also veterans of APB, as well as BF3 and fps pc games going back a decade or so.

It will most likely end up to just running seperate divisions instead of hoping for the "other continent" to play on the wrong server. We have a person interested in working with the NA division, but it is the same with APB, yet we never grew quite as big on NA servers as we did on the EU server for several reasons.

But the idea pretty much is to go big in numbers on both continents.

We do have the clan set up on both NA servers in APB as well, but the server pops have always been lower than in the EU and I guess other reason for the smaller success on NA servers was that 1) we were not all that known on NA servers, while a lot of EU players knew the clan before APB:R even started again 2) We havnt had any of the "original people" to run the NA servers, but the officers in charge have done mostly good job in carrying over the values we've wanted.

As Coreldan said, we want to get everyone on the same server... but it is unlikely.

Server latencies will most likely force us to form at least one North American Division. This is so that we can keep WASP rolling on this side of the pond without having to sacrifice ourselves to the all powerful god of lag.

I have volunteered to head up the North American PS2 WASP should it come to that, and we are going in with the same mentality that the European Division is. Go big or go home.

I got so unlucky. I got home today from an 8 day business trip and was eager to check out the 1.9. patch on APB, just to have my GPU's fan die on me.

It's ok though, I was gonna upgrade any time now for PS2 anyways, but meh :D

Now I has a new GPU! A HD7850 from Sapphire. Runs everything I've thrown at it so far at ultra, so I'm happy. Should last me a few years, especially if it works as expected on Planetside 2.

I'm the kinda guy that I dont really care much for those.. annual cash cow games like Battlefields etc, I am satisfied for years with just APB and PS2 :D

This is not directly PS2 related, but is very important to the roots and heritage of our community :)

We commissioned one of the ex-main artists behind APB which is what the clan has been built around originally (and still our main game until it starts sharing the podium with PS2). The job was to make us a cool clan wallpaper'ish artwork in the official and unique APB artstyle. As the official artist behind the art style, she sure would know how to pull it off :D

We're probably looking at 40-50 guys coming over to PS2 at the start. Only a few of those are from NA at the moment and we are considering if the few interested NA members from APB would just manage playing on EU servers, as they would have a really hard time establishing the outfit on NA compared to in EU where majority of our members will be.

Quoting one of our squad leader report about last night operations :

“We ran a tight squad this evening and even got some formations going and basically managed to keep the squad together despite the unfriendly state of the UI at this stage of beta.

We basically managed to:
-Form an AA squad and tactically fall back to Cora Medlabs when West Highlands got overrun.
-Do a tight defense of Dahaka where we held the bridge and as a united squad pushed TR back to their highlands.
-Switch to the east where we successfully encircled Mao after which our team took Mao itself.
-Push the VS back and take Rashnu.
-Switch back to the west where we first do an excellent back door drop on Medlabs and defend it afterwards. Then push the TR back once again.

-We had tactical awareness almost all of the time (tactical awareness being when you are aware of your surroundings in a 360 degree field).
-We wiped only once due to a liberator, but we did a quick and organized respawn. Keep in mind that we won maybe 10-15 battles including 3 auraxium bases.
-Most of the time you did not take orders from yourself aka run off and do solo stuff but kept to the squad and its leader, hence ensuring our success.

Basically, things are looking good for us and I see us climbing only up regarding our skill and ultimately NC dominance in the game!

I joined the WASP since tech test and it's great to see the Outift grow in numbers, skill, AND effectiveness.

It may be worth noting that we recently started up VENOM, a sub-group in WASP for those who want to run more strict and tactical squads. VENOM is also a home for WASP specialist in anything from squad leading to air support.

If you prefer a more casual style of playing then you can naturally stay in HIVE. We don't force people into things just because they are kick a**. ;)
