Structure of the game?

New to the planetside series, so I was just wondering what the team sizes are going to be and how they will be distributed on a server? Will players be more concentrated and make big mass pushes into specific areas? Or will it be lots and lots of smaller skirmishes along a wide frontline? Perhaps both?

I'm just trying to get a sense for the basic structure and player distribution in planetside.

Team sizes are quite high. The devs are aiming for 2000 players in total per continent, that could make up to 666 players per faction. But we will see...

Squads are said to be 10 players if I recall correctly.

Maybe both. PlanetSide 1 was about huge major battles and smaller behind enemy lines skirmishes. PS2 will be a bit different but I think we will see everything from really big to rather small battles.

Indeed, Mac covered it pretty well.

I think compares to PS1 the battles will be of a similar size, just alot more of them.

In PS1 when everyone was in one place, the battle didn't really get more concentrated.. it just got bigger... wider... covered more of an area.
