Made a Planetside 2 fan trailer, hope you guys like it. :)

Edit: I love making videos like this but royalty free songs cost a lot of money. The one used in this video cost me about $30. I originally didn't even have adds on the video and didn't plan to make money off it, but it would be nice to make more like it so if anyone would like to donate money to my song fund send it to my paypal. :) n_warwick@yahoo.ca
Before you hate on it because its TR, I plan on trying to make one for every faction :) Also I know the music transition sucks but I couldn't get the beginning speech without the music.

Just so you know, Destructoid still has to decide, they nominated PS2, but didn't declare them winner (yet), same for G4tv. :x

Uh oh I just saw the awards for them and didn't notice anything saying it was a nomination. :O Good thing this isn't an official video lol.
Not sure about the TB voiceover at the beginning, but the rest of it is really solid. I'm spoiled, now I want to play the damn game.

You could replace it by Gameinformer's Best Of Show though? It's just a couple screens.

Great vid! I actually really like TB narrating at the beginning, it really captures the games concept and the excitement that comes with it. And the music choice was awesome as well. props :thumbsup:
Should have made TB slightly louder in the beginning.
But yeah that was really good.

You know, like most of you I have watched nearly every fan made trailer, compilation and mash up for PS2. This is by far the best I've seen. Well done Nax... Well done...

Other trailers have been inspiring, but this finally does it. I've gotta try to make my own. I don't know hardly anything about video editing, but this is motivation to figure it out. If I succeed, I'll post my results, at some point.
Very awesome. I'm loving the fan made trailers. Excellent job, I really enjoyed watching it.

I got goose bumps 3 times and started tearing up while watching this. You have definitely captured the spirit of the awesome game we all know and love. Someone give this guy a job on in the marketing dept ASAP!

I make videos all the time with music bought on iTunes for a dollar...couldn't you do that to open up your creative options?

I'm a partner on Youtube so I have to have the actual license to use the music, which you don't get for paying a dollar. I had to pay $30 for the song on my fan trailer, I obviously can't afford to do that for every video so I will either have to try and find epic royalty free music (impossible) or try and get donations. :(
My trailers are always inspired by a song that I hear so I am very picky with what songs I use.

And pretty close to the vision I have of the TR.
Basically TR is most misunderstood Empire. By far.
Merged your two threads as you don't need multiple ones if the work is close enough.
Because they want you to prepare for beta.

I like the idea of having music per faction. I think that music is powerful, though. It has to be wielded intentionally and judiciously, as one would wield any great power. =)
My thoughts would be that TR should be something military, brassy and strong. Something like John Williams, Wagner, or (though I detest him) Hans Zimmer.
VS should be something electronic or techy sounding, and tracks from Red Alert or possibly other of the C&C games come to mind. Maybe some of the Mechwarrior games...
NC... We're hard. I'm thinking some sort of metal or rock would work, but then I also think you could get by with something more 60s/70s too. The counter-culture vibe would probably work well for the rebellious NC. Classically, maybe less militaristic fanfares and brass with choral elements, or something more American in sound.
