Delta Force is a brand new outfit for the New Conglomerate. We aim to provide a fun and friendly environment for all of our members with a long term goal of becoming a major outfit on the servers that we inhabit. We are looking for members to help us with this vision. We expect all members to be respectful of everyone, both inside and outside of the outfit. We do not have an age requirement but we do expect our members to display a certain level of maturity. We also require our members to stick to the rules and we have a no tolerance policy for hackers, cheaters and boosters.

As a new outfit we are initially planning on focusing on Spec Ops but will be expanding into other types of combat as our members increase (more information below) and are looking for all types of players regardless of experience.

Currently we have a rank system in place with members conforming to one of two different ranks.
- Privates: Players who can play once or twice a week and want to join in on big battles and operations.
- Officers: Available 3 or more nights a week, will be able to earn promotions in rank and role through consistency and reliability and will have command responsibility.
Privates and Officers can be promoted but to different degrees. Private to Officer transition and vice-versa are entirely possible. All members will be expected to pick one of these ranks by the time Planetside 2 launches.

Current Units:

- DF Special Forces
Uses: Infiltrating enemy bases, taking out strategic targets, base assault, enemy disruption , galaxy drops etc
Our Special Forces include Infiltrators, light assaults and other infantry units with the sole purpose of covert operations behind enemy lines, in support of both other units in the outfit and other New Conglomerate players. This unit must be particularly well coordinated and organized which means its members will have to be dedicated players.

Upcoming Units:

- DF Air Unit
Uses: Reconnaissance missions, Patrols, Air dominance, Rapid long distance intervention, Cover for ground teams, Evac/Drops
The DF Air Unit will consist of dedicated and skilled pilots whose jobs vary from all out dog fighting to stealth recon missions. Being a member of this unit means that you will spend most of your time flying and raining death from above on unsuspecting enemies.

- DF Armoured Unit
Uses: Base capture and defence, Patrol, Sieging, Large scale ground warfare, Transport
The Armoured Unit is the backbone of the Defence Force, providing it with heavy armour and serious destructive power, with the capability to tear up a base in minutes. Those who chose to join the armoured unit will go from manoeuvring through enemy lines in fast moving vehicles to breaking base defences with heavy-hitting weaponry. The armoured unit also include base disrupting MAX units.

-DF Commandos
Uses: Base defence and assault, armoured unit support, massive invasions, transport, being Rambo
The commandos are the main force of the DF, and its role is to be the front line of any large scale assault or defence. Any class can be played (including the MAX) which means this unit provides some of the most varied play styles, but the main point is beat back the enemy forces to allow expansion of our territory.

Im completely willing to put in the money to make a website for the outfit, I just need to have a better idea of the scale of it before I can make it available. I will also pay for the voice server if the one that they are installing in game is poor compared to something like teamspeak.
Of course, your role is not permanent. However, if you want to get anywhere within a unit you will have to dedicate to it.
I'm totally dedicated to making an organized europe-based NC outfit, that will create chaos and fear wherever they go, whatever that may entail. Of course, I won't refuse help for financing the server and website, but it won't get you free ranks. You will have my eternal gratitude :)

In regards to your inquiry, just because you're an officer doesn't mean you have to give orders, it just means you will progress more rapidly through ranks. Unless we have a lot of privates join once the game launches you most likely won't have to give many orders!

As far as your lack of experience, it is a non issue. Even seasoned PS1 vets cannot yet claim to know the game much better than others. It is similar but a lot has changed about it and the consequent advantage is not huge in terms of skill.

Considering your question about supports, they are an essential part of any successful assault. Medics and engineers will be as much of a part of our units as any other. For the Air and Armored Units, engineers are essential for repairing costly vehicles and keeping us in the fight longer. Medics are the same for the ground units, although engineers can also be used in ops for their great zoning and explosive skills.
Support will have a central role and will not be disregarded. I do not mention them in my descriptions, but they are implicitly necessary to each of them.

Yes i know it's not centered but the little "tail" of the nc logo would stick out from the circle if it was and i thought it looked a bit ugly. If you want I can make the nc logo smaller so it gets centered without the tail sticking out :)

I'm interested in the armoured role, preferably tank whoring - I should be able to make 3 nights a week easily however I'd like to be a private first, to see how much I can commit too. I started my own WoW guild that achieved a few server firsts too, and so I can appreciate how hard it can be to set up a new outfit - I always prefer to join the newer ones to help out as much as I can, so if you need me as an officer I can be.

Might I suggest that you make it necessary for having Mic, as you will need it even for a small outfit. Preferably use Teamspeak/Vent as the in-game one will always be terrible, after all the hype BF3 recieved about its so-called coms system, 99% of players turned it off and used ts/vent anyways :p

This sounds like a damn awesome idea, most of BF3 clan have been turning a blind eye to this game, and as I plan to spend at least half my time playing this game I want to join a half decent outfit! :s

I am a darn good heli pilot in BF3, and a decent jet pilot. From what I've seen flying in PS2 is gonna be a a combination of both, sort of, so I can't wait to try my hand at it :)

I am also interested in the spec ops platoon because one of my favourite things to do in 2142 was this kind of role with my cloaking device :D

I would also be more than willing to help you out with running the outfit, if you feel you need that support (i have no idea, maybe you already have a strong leadership for the outfit). If you would like just PM me on these forums if you are interested in my help :)

My advice would be to not specifically commit to one role at this point in time, unless you have some experience with the types if roles on offer from playing PS1. Try out a little bit of everything when you get into the game, then use that to help you decide what you'd like to do most (will be happy to add you to our Top Gun-music-blasters though ;))

Um i don't think i can make it larger with better resolution without resizing the layers one by one but i can try it tomorrow morning, the font is Tw Cen MT Condensed :)
edit: And as dumb as I am the inner circle of the logo is just saved as a layer together, I forgot to save the separate layers like the knife and triangle etc. That will make it a bit harder but i will see what i can do.

Well of course. I always try to support the outfit/guild I am with in any way I can.

I have been a bit spoiled with my fiber connection because I have had it now for almost four years. :D :D :D

So I have a dedicated Windows 2008 Server running on a Quad CPU and 8GB of RAM. Currently hosting a TS3 server for a WoW guild on it but for our outfit I will probably set up a second server on another port because I don't wan't to mess around with the access groups on the WoW guild server to much. :)

I have hosted several things on it over time. Minecraft server that is still there but currently not online, TF2 server, FTP server among other things. :)

So supporting alot of players shouldn't be a problem with my connection and the hardware of my server.

The peak the WoW guild had was about 50 concurrent users online on my TS3 Server and I didn't even see a hint to a spike on my bandwith. :)

I will add that once a website is up and running etc I can edit that stuff into the recruitment video.

To change the background a bit you could make a radial, gradient overlay with three or two different colors (like Russ' account's picture). If it doesn't look good try the reverse option (and/or play around with the colors and the arrows).

Another thing you could do to allow us to personalize the logos would be to make some place where we could write our names. For example the commandos could have their names written on the knives.

You could also increase the size of the "NC logo" in the middle.

That might sound like a lot of feedback, and it is. But this is all I can come up with to make it as close to perfect as possible. How to further improve it is beyond me! : )

Also, since I don't make alot of replies, I would like to say congrats to you Blues (if you're reading this) on making a vastly growing outfit! : )

To start with we will be concentrating on Spec Ops and then branching out as our number increases. I don't think it will just purely be infiltration although that will likely be apart of it but we would need infantry in Spec Ops anyway

Okay, wow, it's really hard to just pick an outfit! I know I'd best join an EU outfit, but every outfit just seems to be offering pretty much the same.
But I've got you guys on the short-list ;)

I don't have a Beta key (was busy all august so didn't bother to twitter-spam) so I still have time enough to choose. I guess the people in the outfit will end up be the deciding factor. Also after exams are done, I'll have a lot more time to check out the details on different outfits.

Also, do you plan to have training sessions? Are officers gonna make attack plans and such?

About me:
I haven't played PS1, I have some experience in shooters. I'm not a great FPS player, but I can hold my own. I'm pretty good at tactical play, but I'm guessing the giant scale of PS2 will mess that up for me at first. I'm a student for 1 more year so I can probably play most nights, but if I'd join you, it'd probably be as a Soldier at first. That would help me to get to know the game and such.
