SEO team made my day. I'm feeling like a child at Christmas.

The SEO support is really good at recovering accounts. They asked me some questions and I was like "um, well, I played this blue guys.. I think. I was able to fly a reaver, wasnt I? My favorite food? Pizza, Nutella, Croque... . Billing details? Wow, not sure, my parents did that".

They made it anyway. :D

No I have to wait 24h to change my password. Therefore I'm not sure about my veteran status.

And even if I'm a vet: Is it too late for me to receive a vet-betakey?

You would get the invitation in your mailbox, so make sure you can recieve them.

Paying Subs (Before April?) > Any Subs =?> Gamer/Contest Keys > Sign up no Key.

Assuming you(your parents) ever paid your sub, you're in the second pool. someone else will need to confirm as I'm to lazy to find the tweets.

Shendao so you went around doing that? I have been a long time consumer of SOE from the days of the tank game Tanarus back in 1999. I moved to Planetside in 2005 and played until 2007. I would like to know what you did to recover your account. Thanks.

You just need to call them and they will help you through it with questions that are specific to your account that only you would be able to awnser.

You need to make sure you fill out the questionnaire with your computer info. Go to www.planetside2.com/download

Password changed. Had a one-time 45 day pass in 2006. Don't know if it was a gamecard or an one-month subscription or whatever. Guess that means I'm not a vet.

Again, if you had a PS1 sub that you paid real money for in the past that wasn't done before they gave out the free time for all accounts this July you are considered a PS1 vet. You probably have some of the free time they still gave out when the whole SOE account debacle thing happened last year.

Hopefully you're right. Guess I will know in a few weeks.

This is good to hear. I hope they can do something similar for me. I just put in a ticket to try and get both my accounts - 2003 & 2006 - merged. I bought the game twice, but I never meant to start two accounts, and I never rectified the situation.

I paid real money 2003-2005, 2006, 2007or2008 (possibly free time once). Am I a vet?

I'm subscribed using 45 days free right now.

What if you never subscribed, but you played with the free time they gave out. Would you be considered a Vet?

@kucookachoo. I was in the reserves too and i dont think were considered vets. I think i heard you can check by logging into the account and see if they gave you that free thirty days a month or so ago. If you got that then youre a vet. If its 45 days that was for something else and youre not necessarily a vet. But thats about the easiest way to tell.

I bought the game in 2005 and I think I played the free time I got with that then returned for the reserves ? So im not a vet even though I bought the boxed copy ?

Can I have some further clarification on this please?

I have played planetside 1 in the past for a few months on a number of occasions for a few years. I haven't played for a few years either, however I did return and play during the free time they gave out last months.

Is my account considered veteran, seeing as I have paid many years ago, or do I have to have an active paying subscription right now / in the last few months.

Hope someone can clear that up.

Thanks

I couldn't recover my original account from years ago. So I caved and had to start a new one a couple weeks ago just to get my PS1 fix. No vet status here methinks...

Hi, can anyone help with the above.

When did you have to play to be considered a Vet, years ago, or atleast recently?

Read this thread: Active Subscriber beta cutoff is 8 A.M. Monday (http://www.planetside-universe.com/showthread.php?t=46464)

So you're only considered a Vet if you are currently paying a subscription right now?

No, your an active sub vet if you're paying a sub right now. Priority beta invites go like this:

Active Subs > PS1 Vets > Priority Beta Keys > Regular Beta Signups

Link to tweet about that is in my sig Entitled PS1 Vet cause SOE said so! (https://twitter.com/j_smedley/status/228236911477653504)

Not to poke fun or anything but....

Anyone else notice the irony of asking if youre a vet in the New Player Questions forum?
