In PS2, can you take a galaxy without the certification?

Yes, everyone can use every vehicle without certing. You probably won't be able to customize it at all, though

Since we are talking about Galaxies here, are they all the same? Wasn't it the VS Galaxy that could carry the most players, 2 max suites and a light vehicle?

They all carried the same amount, I think. 8 "softies" as we call them (pilot + 3 gunners and I think 4 others), 2 maxes and a light vehicle.

they are reported to have what 6 crew slots 6 troop slots with ability to cert more carry space & different types of deployment for the squad inside. also to turn it into a carpet bomber hopefully!

The ability to carpet bomb will be very interesting with the friendly fire mechanics.... :D
