New player, Whats the Magrider like?

I will be joining VS of-course and will be a dedicated tanker, and I just wanted to know whats the Magrider like. for example how fast does it move (forward and reverse acceleration and strafing acceleration turn rate) how is the gun (RPM accuracy etc.) and protection i.e armor.

It's likely up for tweaking on all the characteristics you mentioned, so it will be hard to say until you can get your hands on it. Basically, though, I believe the Mag is being designed as the most manueverable of the tanks, so you'll have that going for you.

Damn I loved the Nekomata (actually I liked almost everything about PAC, well except for their pistol even though it had the cool blue muzzle flash). Guess it's Vanu for this new player then.

I didn't care for the magrider in PS1. I dunno why. It just drove kinda weird.

That weird handling was the point.

The mag was weird but awesome if you learnt to use it right.

It could strafe around trees using them for cover whilst still keeping your line of sight on your targets, and you could circle strafe slower targets whilst pouring on the damage.

It handled almost like a 3 feet off the ground helicopter, you had to use both the strafe and the mouse at the same time to remain on target with the gun.

I liked how it would slide underneath a bridge over water giving it cover so I could pop out at the other side and place a few shots.

How does it compare to the Prowler and Vanguard?

Prowler = Lowest Armor (confirmed?) Best Speed, Highest Spray and Pray (Shells amount)
Vanguard = Highest Armor, Slow Arse, OneBulletAndYouDie, if you miss change tank.
Magri = Medium Armor, Average Speed in all directions, Fixed turret, extremely manouverable, purple.

I noticed in one of the beta game plays that the vanguard was moving at 50mph:eek: which is fast pretty damn fast, still slower than prowler but still fast enough to relocate and what not. It seems that the vanguard is the best all around tank that you buy. I cant wait to see how the magrider handles it

its not 50 miles, but 50 kph = kilometers
wich is around 31 mph

im sure this is about accurate, or will be when beta and tweaks finish.
i was under the impression that the TR tank would reload fastest as well

i was under the impression the NC tank would be like a BF3 tank, the TR tank would behave more like the LAV, faster reload, multiple lower damage shells. did i get the wrong impression and reload times would be average/same as VS?

also... the vanu tank turret is fixed? i did not know that...good to know when i sneak my tank around a magrider

The Vanguard has a very slow battery rotation.
