It'll probably run, just not that well. You may be able to hit 20fps with the lowest settings on a low resolution.

If you were running a desktop I'd offer you my old GTX 460 I'm not using, but...

Well we cant really know.......

i got a old laptop that plays bf3 on medium settings with no problems at all with a hd3000 card.....And since this game doesnt look as it will take as much as bf3 takes i think hes fine.

We just have to wait and see how it will be played on lower end pc's.

Most laptops are not built for gaming. Built in graphics tend to make games run badly. I would personally suggest getting your hands on a desktop and a cheap graphics card.

Not everyone can get a desktop pc at home.Atleast not everyone wants one at home.

There are people that really swear by a laptop because u can just put it anywhere when u finisht gaming instead of watching to a thing the size of a car.

I do have a desktop pc(new one with i7 and a 680 card) but i hate all those wires everywhere and the space u need to put it somewhere .Atleast u need to play somewhere where u can sit(i got a free room for me but some dont have it ) and a desktop pc in a living room just aint from this time anymore(it looks like a mess to me).Atleast thats what i think.

I 100% agree with you desktops are messy the cords everywhere, but the performance difference and aesthetics can not be compared in my opinion. I don't enjoy playing on a tiny screen, with a keyboard that has those short stop keys. You know the low profile ones. It just seems like it's a real pain to use one for gaming.

you dont render 1000 players or more in BF3.. or that many explosions or even the map of that size.

Well u forget a few things.

The engine of bf3 is fucked so if it runs on medium in bf3 he will be fine.
The second part u cant blow things to pieces besides the visuals in bf3 are much better then in ps2 (they are nice but not as nice as bf3 but thats ok its made for the masses)

besides we dont really know how the forgelight will handle things.Maybe the forgelight is that good that it can make older pc's (laptops) run pretty great on this game.

And maybe u have this option to tune down graphics pretty far.No shadows etc etc

According to SOE guys this game has the capabilities to bring a modern system to it's knees and max settings aren't even being run yet so for it to run on a lesser system would require huge scalability. I'm not saying it can't be done as we don't know enough about the new engine but I would be impressed if it could scale down to such level to be played on system with integrated (assuming that's what you mean by built-in) graphics.

Can we stop calling integrated graphics "Laptop graphics cards" (not the same thing) and lumping all laptops together?

My laptop has a discrete GTX 560, games BF3 on ultra, and hs a 15.9 inch screen. Thanks. :D

Dude,

This game is made for the masses,so stop thinking u need some high powered pc.That will mean a low population. They want as much people online as they can so i really know for sure low desktops can play this(if not they making their own grave). Many people have just normal pc's...not those high end futuristic machines u talk about.Maybe not on nice settings but on lower it would run good.

As long as they have a proper .ini file I think I will be fine with my crappy laptop.
