Hi everyone, I'm new (obviously), I just got here and figured. What the hell, I'll just write some fan fiction. I actually haven't played the Planetside beta, but I think I have a good idea of what it's like. I'll post part of my story and wait for your opinions. If most of you guys dont like it I'll stop writing. Enjoy;)
The green line sped across the circular radar. First there were a few, a few Max's, maybe a squad. Nothing we couldnt handle. Then there were more. o there were more. Hundreds, maybe thousands of troops filling the screen. The Terrans must have been planning this for a long time. "Sir, SSSSSIIIIIIIIRRR!!!" yelled the shaking Vanu scout standing at the panel. "What is it?" asked the commander, wearing an array of colorful awards across his chest. "Bogies, lots" "How many, son?" "There are so many on the screen I cant tell," said the now sweating man. The commander walked over to the panel. "Oh my god, I knew those Terrans were planning something. Sound the alarm."
He was in a field. The sun shone bright as he waved his hand through the long thin reeds. He could hear his wife calling in the faint distance. She was smiling.
Andrews woke up to the sound of alarms. He instinctively jumped out of bed and put on his long sleeved gray shirt and dark green pants. " That alarm always has to go off when I'm having the best dreams." A stern voice came over the intercom, "All troops report to armor and weapons distributors imediately. This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill." Andrews knew this was serious, he had that feeling. He jogged down the long metallic corridor until he reached a large room. There were all the troops there. All lined up to get weapons and armor. Their eyes were still dreary looking from their 2 hour sleep. After waiting on line for what seemed an eternity (which was probably no more then 5 minutes) Andrews got to the Armor panel. He punched in the command for an Anti-Infantry Max. It appeared a few feet away on the construction panel. He put it on. "Nothin like hoppin into a two ton hunk of armor at 4 A.M." After getting strapped in he walked out of the very large and conspicuous door. It was still dark, that was how those Terrans like to attack, in the dark. There were about ten rows of soldiers, each donning a different set of armor. Each row must have had 30 troops. The howl of mosquitos and reavers filled the troops' ears. A nervous voice cane through over the static filled radio. "This is Lieutenant Watson. I'm scouting the area. I can see some enemies on the horizon. I'm going to go check it out." The thunder of the engines filled the radio. " They're everywhere! The have a strong force consisting of at least 20 Maxes and 10 tanks, hundreds of soldiers too. They have AA Maxes. THEY'VE SPOTTED ME!" The sound of firing missles overcame the doomed pilots screams. Then static, just static. "Lets move out!" said the commander. You could here the desperation in his voice. The sounds of hundreds of marching feet filled the air. The marched for 10 minutes until the reached a hill. "Crouch!" yelled the commander. Everyoned slumped down below the vantage point of the hill. Andrews peered over the hill. He could see clouds in the distance, blocking the moons. There was a storm brewing. One was in the sky, and the other was the Terran storm on the other side of the hill.
I'll get to the action later, but for now I just want to know if I should keep writing or not. Comments are welcome!
