“God damn it!! Doc! GET THEM!” screamed Hayate. He knew himself that they were badly hurt, if not dead and there was no saving them Williams. Doc did what she thought was the right thing and then ran to Kate. She was badly hurt and it was not looking good. “Her heart beat is fading and she’s lost a lot of blood, I don’t know if I can save her...” “Thank you Doc…” “Yes Sir…” Hayate walked over to Kate and looked at her. “I… I’m s—s—sorry...” muttered Kate. “Don’t be, you did great. You did your job, don’t for a second think you didn’t. You’re going to be fine…” “Th---Thank you S-S—Sir… I ---“ “Shh, don’t talk you need to just stay calm. Doc is going to stop the bleeding and we’re going to get you back on the ship to bring you back to headquarters – you’re going to be fine…” Hayate motioned Doc to come in and the two of them removed the ruined armor and started to clean the wounds and blood. “I’m going to give her a shot, it will put her out so she stays calm and avoids shock. She is stable right now but we need to get her out of here soon!” “Alright Doc – nice work, you and Brooke carry her – I’m going to finish looking for the Lieutenant and we’ll get out of here. I’ll be back.” Hayate stood up and left the room.
Hayate headed to the storage room just a few rooms down the hall. Hayate peered down the hallway where the door to the storage room is. “Brooke…” whispered Hayate over his communicator. “Yes Sir?” she replied. “I have two guards in front of a storage room – I believe it is the room where the Generals Lieutenant is. If I’m not back there in two minutes try to come look for me to see if everything is good, okay?” “Sir, Yes Sir.” She replied. Hayate peered down the hallway once more before deciding what he wanted to do. Taking a fragmentation grenade from his hip, Hayate rolled it across the hallway trying to get the two attentions of the guards. “What was that?” Asked one of the guards, they both started to walk down the hallway. Hayate counted the steps and listened closely to see how close they were. Seconds later he crouched down and rolled into the hallway – gun ready. Hayate smiled for a split-second and pulled the trigger. Bullets ripped through the air mowing down the two soldiers. They fell lifelessly on the ground and blood poured onto the ground.
Hayate stood up and walked down the hallway to his door. He pushed the large green-squared buton and the door slid open to the left… To his delight – the Lieutenant was laying there on the ground. “Hey – wake up!” Yelled Hayate. “Huh? What? Oh… Heh… Good to see you guys, took you long enough.” Replied the Lieutenant who was tied up and on the floor. Hayate cut the ties and let the man free of his imprisonment. The two men walked down the hallway past the two dead bodies and returned to the mess hall. “Lets go – carry Kate and be careful.” Doc and Brooke picked Kate up and carried her behind the Lieutenant and Hayate.
At that moment the sunderer crew was just opening the door, the large think double doors slid open. “Hello boys,” Replied Bezerker as he let loose two full extremely large chain guns shooting 50.cal bullets. Hersom let loose as well. Instantly 7 of the soldiers we’re ripped apart, two where cut in half. Blood and human insides poured onto the ground, two of the soldiers who we’re not on the side poured vomit all over the ground in the disgusting scene that was laid before them. Mosher took that chance to kill them, letting a slug fly through the air shattering the head off of one of the soldiers who was vomiting. The back half of the head was in the air in pieces along side 90% of the brain all in fragments; the body flew back a good 18 feet then rolled a bit. Mosher snapped the gun in half, pulling the empty canister out and sliding another slug into the gun. She looked him at the ground for a split second before seeing the driver take aim with his own Bolt Driver, Mosher quickly released her own shot. The bullet smashed through the window and into the neck of the driver – flesh poured out of the back and sprayed in the air. “Castus – Come and get me please.” “Yes Ma’am” Castus replied. Castus took off and headed over to Mosher – picked her up and took her back towards the base level. At that point, Bezerker and Hersom we’re walking out of the building finishing off the rest of the men. A phoenix missile flew through the air fired by Howell, hitting the sunderer and exploding with a large bang and fire erupted through the air. Four soldiers inside the sunderer flew out and about as the wrecked sunderer sat aflame. The bodies hit the ground with a thump. Bezerker laughed hysterically.
At that point Hayate, Doc, Kate, The Lieutenant and Brooke we’re walking down stairs and entering the lobby, LenDog got off of his Computer and met with them. “What happened to Kate?! Where are the others?” Asked LenDog. “The others are dead – Kate is badly wounded and we are returning her to the headquarters. They walked outside and met with Hersom and Bezerker. “Lets go… Castus get your ass in here.” At that point the Galaxy was lifting up and over the wall with Howell standing on top of it. It landed down and Castus spoke. “Lets get the hell out of here Sir.” “Thank you Castus – let’s go home…” Howell jumped down off of the top and looked at Hayate. Hayate’s squad loaded into the galaxy and the doors shut, engines started and it lifted up and headed back towards the Warp gate in Cyssor that headed to the Sanctuary. “Mission Complete men…. Welcome home…”
The Lieutenant walked over to Hayate. “I’m… I’m sorry for your men that you lost and those who were hurt. I’ll speak with my cousin, the General and make sure you are rewarded properly and your men receive the above needed treatment. Thank you again for saving my life. I am in dept to you…” “It was out job Sir, and honor to serve under the General for a favor and thank you for your offer.” The two men exchanged words for a little while why Doc was looking over Kate. Soon enough the squad was at home, landing down the Galaxy next to one of the complexes. The doors slid open and the squad got out – carrying Kate with them.
A few days went by and Kate healed. The crew got rested – attended many dinners with the General himself over the time. But it wasn’t much longer until they were back on the Galaxy – fighting the ongoing war for their empire, The Terran Republic.
