The community is organizing a special event for Sunday July 1st. Their goal? For every outfit that has ever played to return to PlanetSide for at least a day. There willl also be a farewell parade on a time to be announced July 1st. Check out this great farewell video to PlanetSide

The stream caught the parade but missed the OS clusterfuck (I totally slacked and sat in queue the whole time). I really hope someone puts up a good vid of the event. Over all it was a lot of good fights with pop locks all over the place. Thank again for good time

I had loads of fun with friends I haven't played with in years, I even managed to get CR5 on my original character. A little bummed about the absence of some kind of announcement that I think there was supposed to be, but all in all that was one hell of a celebration for Planetside. |

This isnt news for most of you and its akin to Barrens chat for those familiar with WoW. I'm guessing the other factions probably suffer from the same thing. And I suspect those that did try to give the impression they were organising something for everyone must have given their zergfits the heads up before everyone else (your rent a crowd). It was always select outfits moving out before the others who had just been told in global chat to, wait for incoming instructions. All in all intentions were no doubt good, thanks to those that tried. But nothing beats the battles of circa 2003-2004 when CR5's were not so abundant and generally worked together and ignored the few ignorant ones. Back then its was Planetside Day most weekends. Planetside 2 cannot come soon enough. |

Fantastic to watch the parade out of Forseral getting all the way to the base without disintegrating into a giant mess - shame I managed to miss the OS's go off as I was too preoccupied in trying to get mine set up so notice the 14 that were blowing me to smithereens =P |
