Yeah... don't really agree with you. If cloaking is anything similar in PS2 as it was in PS1, it's not too hard to sneak up on someone's back.
I would prefer that it does not matter where you knife someone and it does the same damage everywhere, but I guess I would be ok if the back gave a slight damage bonus.
