I have a bit of a soft spot for good UI.

The game was received very well by the crowd. I think a lot of them were pleasantly surprised at the progress we've been making on the game.

We were fucking stunned. Until GDC we had seen random screenshots and a fairly "meh" trailer as far as FPS games go. For all intents and purposes PS2 was vaporware until GDC. Post-GDC footage I've had several coworkers suddenly have interest in the game where before they were not impressed and thought I was high praising it and walking around with a PS2 shirt on.
