The Future.....

Firstly Thanks to all the work that the AGN guys put in getting us all of the information they can.

So here's my discussion when the game goes live (i'm talking way down the road after beta), what will the AGN bring us?

What would we the community like to see the AGN show, and more importantly how can we help the AGN staff acheive this?

I personally would like to see an Outfit action segement on the show, all of the week's/month's big Outfit driven engagements, to do this outfits would have to send the AGN a stream.

Into the far future I would love to see a propaganda tab in-game with a battlefield report Hamma host the TR, Higby as NC and T-Rey as VS all digitally overlayed, it wouldn't have to be long just current events.

What the AGN will do in the future is a big question...


The trouble I see with things like outfit stuff or "battlefield reports" is that we're going to have (I imagine) a lot of servers. Consequently, most of that wouldn't mean anything to most players.

Hmm. Maybe rotate them daily/weekly? Only report on the biggest engagements per week per day? Like do a rotation where monday is x server tuesday is z and etc.

That or at the end of the month do one week like that and report on a series of them.

Say On each server highlight one battle per week and have a 3-4 segment video released per day on the last week of the month with each segment as whichever weeks highlighted pick.

Really, its probably going to be State of the Game kinda stuff. Talk about micro, macro, and meta strategies, weapon & vehicle balances, argue endlessly over what needs buffing or nerfing, etc

Going to be difficult to hold viewers while the NDA is active. You can only listen to the same people speaking about the same stuff so much.
After that with the freedom of no NDA I am sure they will have a shiteload of stuff to discuss.

I've been thinking about topics we can discuss that won't be affected by the NDA.

Just an idea, but something along the lines of action reports and other interesting news.

For example,

A sand storm blew in today on the bla-bla-bla server during a massive battle between the New Conglomerate and Terran Republic. This turned the battle in favor of the NC as the Republic's defenses could not see the approaching Vanguards through the sand. In other news a war of attrition has begun for HVAR on the bla-bla server as the fight between TR and VS forces continues for 8 consecutive hours.

Essentially, keep with the current formula, but add something extra like reports and what not. In-game journalism isn't exactly something that can be done in FPS games due to the inconsistency of them. Although this would mean acquiring journalists for each continent on each server, it could be something amazing.

You might also try to get a spokesperson from each Faction to do a "Tokyo Rose" segment. A little propaganda naming names and places and twist the facts to make each group look like their winning. A little comedy with a a little truth. Might be fun if done with the right amount of sarcasm and political spin.

I was thinking SOE should give Hamma a cam bot account. And allow him to just fly about and watch shit live and do a commentary on stuff. Maybe find a co host whos got a little energy to them, and your set.
