Would be awesome if Higby could reply to this!
Deferred rendering/lighting is not a D3D11 exclusive feature. Not sure where that comes from?

ForgeLight is D3D9 SM3 based and uses deferred rendering.

Do you use any form of user centred design activities or processes for PS2 then?

Glad to hear it.
Once you guys release the UI, I'd love to see the process you've been through, from concepts/wireframes/prototypes to having it in game.

Not to downplay the number of listeners present during the last podcast, but I think the reason most people don't actually know about PSU is because none of the apparel has "Visit us at http://www.planetside-universe.com"...

Would the staff consider adjusting that for future purchases (including all those who want it again with the website address)?!

Well, Artist/coder/Guy xyz is not higby. Higby is after all the creative director, and im pretty sure he had some long talks with Marketing already about what he can give out, and what not.
I assume the little AGN live feed we got wasnt planned, but no harm done = all is well. It is also unlikley that you fire or punish the Creative director of your most important project just because he makes the community happy.

Well technically nothing is exclusive to anything, but many game engines will only exclusively allow some features to be turned on with a specific directx version because it's unbearable to run on anything less than.

I don't care if the devs' behavior is their own or Marketing's. They seem to be having a helluva time interacting with us, regardless. And, to be completely honest, showing us stuff doesn't really generate a lot of new user attention. Marketing has probably got better things to do than figure out how to milk all 500 (?) of PSU's active users. :P

I will remember "You wanna see something cool? I can show you guys something cool" and "You ain't seen nothin' yet!" for a long while.

Yeah, we need to get Mr. Eltham some color up in this. I mean if he is doing alot of the technical work then he's got to feel alot of pressure to make sure the game plays as good as it looks or else he'll have a bunch of maniacs with pitchforks and torches burning effegies of him outside his front door. That's quite a bit of stress for a man's shoulders.
