Hello.
I have no idea if there are any other post about this, And I am knew to PSU so sorry If I posted in the wrong spot or something.. lol But I noticed in the GDC video's that there are no ragdoll physics in soldiers, Don't the air craft use PhysX? So do you think we may see it on soldiers in the future? I would really love being in a tank shooting at groups of soldiers and seeing body's fly everywhere So thank's! And once more sorry if this has already been posted. |

There will be ragdoll physics in the game, but it might be the "post-death" kind, in that the player dies where they're standing and then the physics kick in. |

Ragdoll can be fun sometimes, but I honestly don't feel that it belongs in PS2. Ragdoll is in the direction of "silly" where, PS is in the direction of "realistic". If it's already in, fine, but please keep it in check. Don't need bodies flying all over the place.

However, if the ragdolls are weighted properly and affected by various forces realistically, I think it will add some really nice effects to large-scale combat. It just makes sense to see an enemy go flying when he steps on your landmine, or for a tank shell's explosion to throw a soldier into a nearby tower wall. Do we really want a modern-day shooter where you detonate C-4 and the player standing right next to it just grabs his chest like he got shot, and crumples into a heap with a canned death animation? |

I mean, If i'm in a reaver shooting missiles down at soldiers I want to see SOME ragdoll affect on there body.. Not to the ""Silly"" point but to a realism point. |
