I tried the R.A.T 7 once... it was awful. Cramped my hands easily, not comfortable. The material was slippery. Screws for adjusting the parts were right where your thumb and pinky rest. Not balanced, tips easily and catches on the mousepad. The way it's shaped severely limits the possible ways you could hold it, as there are many areas on the mice that are "naked".

A good mouse should be comfortable in anyone's hands, but it seems to me that only a specific selection of people could find that thing comfortable, and for as long as the hold it in a very specific way.

This has a vast array of adjustments and now fits my hand perfectly. Moves like liquid pefectly balanced with the sensitivity switches i need for moving between work - browsing - gaming. Also it is not just the mouse that matters the pad you use can make or break a mouse experience. No single mouse can fit all people.

I have in my draw

Deathadder classic 3500
Microsoft habu
Logitech g5

None of which i was ever comfortable with.

My original mx1000 from back around the beginning of planetside was perfect as was my logitech trackball i used at release.

A mouse is a very personal thing when you use it 12hours a day.

This is it. Beyond a certain point it's no longer a case of what's better or worse, but what closer fits the individual.

To everyone saying Razer is cheap and falls into pieces before the one year mark - do you slam it on the desk multiple times when you rage? What do you do to break it so fast? I know for a fact that Razer is higher quality than a HP mouse that comes with a computer bought in '02... and that HP mouse lasted me 7 years. Mice don't fall apart on their own.

Got me a deathadder respawn, piranah headset and arcosta keyboard..

Nothing has broken, had them all for over a year now, and before the deathadder my diamondback's mouse wheel broke off when my friend used it, it was 3 years old and perfect but they didn't do diamondbacks when I went to get a new one.. had to go with the respawn instead

As for people saying they break, they really don't.. Treat it correctly and it will treat you correctly

voted Razer

Logitech Keyboard and high dpi gaming mouse. Keyboard M-keys and multi-button mouse for the micro games, like reloading, quick healing, and engineering.

*shrug*

Some of their products are cheaply made. My wife and I both use Nagas and in 2 years we've gone though 4 of them. After the second we got smart and bought the insurance though BestBuy. It's always the same problems, they start double clicking on single taps or the laser sensitivity goes haywire and it feels like you're using it on carpet instead of a mouse pad.

It's the design that keeps me coming back for more, certainly NOT the quality.

After the onset of a minor bit of RSI a few years ago, then for me it's none of those.
Instead it's this crazy thing

I had a few different wireless mice, but I finally decided to go back to a wired G500 and it was the best decision I've ever made. I also have the G19, and the G13(mainly for MMOs and high-macro games).

Oh, I've also had amazing Logitech speakers for something like 7 years. Best speakers I've owned.

I use a fairly heavy weight and a fairly high DPI as I use my fingers to move the mouse rather than my wrist.
never used the MX, but I love the G9X's versatility. The on board profiles are awesome for switching between games and applications without having to mess around with too many settings. I also move with my fingers, and keep mine weighted so that when I lift the mouse with 2 fingers it doesn't tilt or jerk.

How?

I mean, you're probably right. There's a chance that the added complexity of a gaming mouse gives it a higher chance of going wrong and thus the breakages, but I'm just curious how you know that for a fact.
