Question How to make PS run faster

I am having troublr running PlanetSide at 20+ fps. My system is as follows:
-2.0 ghz
-256 mb ram
-64mb integrated video
-integrated sound
-30.0 gb hard drive

I was wondering if I put 512 more ram (768 mb) and upgraded my video card if that would greatly increase performance, any help would be greatly appreciated

Get a new video card like a new Nvidia or Radeon.
Upgrade your RAM to, preferably to 1GB.

It honestly might be better to wait and pay for a new MB, Chip, memory and Graphics. You could get kickin equipment for all of that for 800 to 1000 dollars.

Exactly what I did lol

Buy the new PCi card for now, save for a new comp, build it, and get all the uber stuff, like I'll have 2.8Ghz P4 HT, 4 GB DDR400 on a ABIT IC7-G When I'm done building mine.

For that you could have bought an AMD Athlon 64 fx-51 instead of the 2.8GHZ P4.

4 GB is definately overkill. You'll barely see a difference between that and 1 GB, in fact, you might see a performance decrease.

Yes, the ram and even the pci-5200 would help a good bit. But you would still have to play at like 800x600, very low res, and still lag in big fights. Trying to get good performance out of PS is expensive.
