I like the AMD64 but i would not buy it currently even if i had the money i would wait for the 939 socket so you can get a dual channel on the non-FX amd64's, and use regualr memory.

And Win XP 64 bit with good driver suport would be nice

He does have a point there. Wait for socket 939, mine currently doesnt have Dual-channel RAM, which is a bit of a bummer. They will also allow u to use an FX-51 with faster (and cheaper) regular ram, instead of the Registered ECC it currently requires.

Still, despite my not being able to run RAM in dual channel, my integrated memory controller helps make up for that a bit. Also, the 64-bit edition of Windows XP (now available as a free 1 year trial) is finally getting some better drivers. I'm hoping to get my AMD running XP64 some time, provided I can dig up a decent hard drive that has over 4 gigs of space on it.
