We haven't really heard anything have we? Not sure it has ever been mentioned either way decidedly.

I hope it's restricted to light armor.

Yes, it was mentioned a long time ago.

However, we still do not know what is light armor. I would assume Medic/Engineer/Infil/Light Assault.

Edit: maybe not light assault.

Kind of off topic but I hope there are customization options specifically to make your armor look extra pilot-like. Everyone knows pilots are are the classiest and manliest to ever exist in the history of humanity. Also yes light armors only please as humorous as I think it would be to imagine a rexo folding himself into a tiny mosquito cockpit.

I would be OK with a flight suit, so you can't jump down like a Rambo with HA.

There will be no flight suits.

We have seen Higgles stop driving a tank and fly through the air in his jet pack.

They have commented that you can use your jet pack to slow down after bailing out of aircraft if you dont have any points in safe bailing.

I am fairly confident that you can wear anything except HA and MAX suits and pilot/drive.

Maybe you can change the armor of what ever class you choose to fly/drive as to look more like a pilot. With the amount of customisation they are saying you will have they have absolutely no reason not to. Plus like I've mentioned before looking like a pilot is super cool.

Question I just thought about:
Would it be possible to:
1. bail from your mossie/reaver/scythe as a light assault
2. use the jetpacks immediately to move up
3. enter a friendly lib which needed a gunner in mid-air ?

Edit: what about instant tank-bail-jetpack before a damaged tank explodes ?

That brings up another question, but serious though... Does ejection work the way it should or you just leak out of the vehicle's bottom?

I'm not sure i've even heard that Heavy Assault will be restricted from driving vehicles.

I like the restriction for the sake of continuity and because it was like that in PS1, but if we are letting all light armor classes drive without the idea of having to wear a special restricted flight suit, i don't see any special reason for stopping HA from driving/flying.

Might be worth putting it in for beta and let us see for ourselves how broken it is.

I definitely like the idea of crew kits that have pistol and medpac only that you must use to operate vehicles. Especially aircraft at least.

Even if it's been confirmed as NOT being the case, it's still something to lobby for.

I would think it would just drop you out of the bottom since that's how it seems to be done in any game with a bail mechanic (PS1 included).
