help! ps2 problem

So I just got back from school after a fucking fender bender, and decided to vent my anger by playing GT4. Plop the disc in and a disc error comes up. I haven't used my ps2 in over a month (maybe 2), and I left GTA: San Andreas in there for that time. I am assuming the problem is my laser reader since it seems every fucking one of these has this problem, or some disc drive problem. Does anyone know of any quick fix to this, or if not where I can get it fixed?

Get a disk cleaner at Walmart or best buy and if that does not work and you are good with your hands take it apart and clean it by hand

My ps2 had the same problem a while back, I sent it to sony and they fixed it for free. I had to contact them over the email first though, and they told me what all i needed to send them.
