Drop pod hunting

I wonder if you could shoot down the drop pods that are coming down from orbit. It would be extremely hard to find one, but in a mosquito, you could probably shoot one down. Or is it too heavily armored? The person is defenceless in that little pod.

Nah, droppods are invulnerable.

But you could follow them and hunt down whoever comes out.

but it is even better when you are going to get the guy in the drop pod, and his friend's drop pod lands on you

I can't recall, but can you drop pod on your own and with a squad, or does it have to be one or the other?

Would be nice to have a drop pod land in a forest completely surrounded by you and some friend's on coffee break amongst the trees.

K, that's what I thought. That allows you to guess how many guys you're about to run into a lot better when you see a bunch coming down. Lot better than seeing one coming and thinking "He he, I'm gonna get this guy first" then 16 MAX's pile out.

A dev has already told us a story where his pod came down on a galaxy and destroyed it.

And an alert D will spot pod drops and react to them with vehicles. Big ones. "Buggies & Reavers & Tanks! Oh my!!"

It's too bad they have those rockets on them to slow them down. It would be halarious to be scouting with a friend and suddenly a pod slams into the ground right where he was standig. That would be hilarious!
