Just found out about these glasses that are in development.If they do indeed do what is in the video these will be fun to play with.

A reason for even more people to wear those thick, black plastic rimmed glasses.

They're all ready working on handhelds utilizing scanning the world in front of you. Like on a cell phone you point the camera forward looking at buildings, doors. The software recognizes what these are and starts showing you zombies coming out of them. As you turn the camera the zombies start coming out of other areas. You're turning your surroundings into the damn game.
Now imply that with the glasses and a bigger game studio... awesome

It's possible for the glasses to turn themselves off if they recognise a steering wheel infront of them or the viewpoint of the user in the car. The same goes for incoming lamp posts.
I'm doing Robot vision next year on my uni course, would be pretty awesome to get my hands on one of these glasses and go wild with it. I've been researching gait biometrics this year so I could totally make a creepy stalker app with it. Just record someones gait and it will notify you if the glasses spot the same gait again. |
