here are my current system specs: (these are for a 1997 Pionex)

Harddrive: 4 gb (98% full)
Processor: Intel pentium ??? 233mHz
Graphics card: unknown
sound card: unknown
optical drive(s): 24x CD-ROM
3 1/2 inch floppy


These are my desired system specs. will they make a good gaming computer?

Harddrive: 80gb
Processor: Intel Paentium 4 2.80 GHz
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
Sound Card: Maya 5.1
optical drives:48x CD-ROM
DVD-R/-RW/CD-R/-RW
DVD-ROM


So, what about 'em?

Don't be fooled get as much RAM as possible, I have 1gig and when I check PS is using 95% of all my resources. I dont crash to desktop tho. :cool:

terran first off im in the process of getting the parts for my new comp heres the specs i have all but mem/cpu Abit NF7-S Althon 2500+ Barton Core 1Gig DDR400 Kingston Hyper X Radeon 9500pro 80gig HD w/ 8mb cache and anyways itll be my comp and im playin PS and ur not

8GB (Dual-channel 466MHz) For: a hefty price of $3780!!! bucks USD :doh:

oh and the bigest HD is a: 1Terabyte (7200rpm) w/ 8MB RAM Buffer For: $1155

I prefer asus mobos. I'm using an A7N8X, it's very dependable. It's an Athlon XP mobo, has 8X AGP support and is generally good, not too expensive either

you want a good mobo? get the intel desktop board D865GBF. its under $120, and its an awesome mobo. its what im gonna get. it has a 800mHz FSB, and it was slots for graphics and sound cards (if desired) and slots for extra memory (three)
