Is it true that satelittle internet is behind 2 seconds, or is it real time? I was just wondering!

With my experience its as laggy as cheap DSL.

But I don't know about that.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by behind by two seconds, but it is considerably slower than cable. It's major customers are people who don't have fiber optics installed in their neighborhood yet. If you don't have that, you can't get 2-way cable or DSL, only 1-way. It's like that at my dad's house. Satellite offers 2 way internet, without the need for fiber optics.

ok, i mean that it behind in two seconds, as it takes 2 seconds for the info to go from your satelitte to the satelittle in space and come back, resulting in 2 second delay. I was wondering if that was true or not. Thanks!

I'd imagine there would be some sort of delay. But there is a delay with everything, even cable. Nothing is instant.

From what i hear - and this is literally what i heard, i have never used it - you can get pretty decent download speeds, cause that doesnt require quick reactions, but playing games on the internet is pretty much a no-no.

It's great if you want your internet to disconnect every time it gets cloudy.

Satalite is only one way, i fairly sure of that, you have to use 56k to upload. Thought it does have nice DL rates. It VERY expensive and IMO not worth it unless you have no other options.
