i like it, because then you can also have those 7 and do the VR training so u get like 9. which is a lot better than 6 for new players...think about other new people, if its harder to start then not many people would like to play, but if its easier then more people could possibly join

Not really, it would just make it easier and does that mean they get more certs when they hit br 23 cuz that aint fair.

If you'd read the article you'd know they'd remove the cert points from levels when you acquire Implant slots.

i think new chars should be able to choose between the two methods so they can go to vr and do work (like real men jk :) or they can get the quick 7 certs but then not get the 3 later

Yeah give new characters the option. When i created different characters on other empires, it was to try out their equipment, not to stand in VR for 15-20 minutes pulling out gun/put away gun/hotswap/pull different gun/ rinse repeat. then warp to driving area to hop into a vehicle/ hop into gunner spot/ repeat/ drive to airplane area fly/ hotdrop/ fly...annoying after about your 5-6+ characters. By then its just a mundane tank that wastes your characters time when all you go there for to get those first few free points.

most funny part of creating characters is the option you get to instant action or to recall to sanc. WTF! you have 0 certed abilities and no loadout favorites. you'll be owned in seconds and be mad. that shouldnt be an option.

Hmmm, I like that when I introduce freinds to the game they can try out a lot of stuff with out using my account but then again there is the fact of giving newbs too much to play with before they know what they are doing.

I think they should make it if you finish the VR training to lvl up you get the extra cert point. Weapon training could be worth one, vehicles, etc.

Delete your vet character (s), then you can say newbies have it too easy.

I like this idea, gives soldiers on the low end a better setup, no more Rexo + MA with no Eng. Or even could get HA + Rexo. Stuff vets take for granted.

BFR out of the box kinda worries me. Only thing left is imprinting. Dunno.

Many alts would spawn.

i still think its good, i stopped playing with my vet a long time ago, maybe 5 months, i come back about every month and use a trial to see how the game is compared to the last time i played it. starting as a n00b with no power (such as going back to vet) is hard, so imagine someone totally new to the game

Unless you were the worlds leetest FPS player, it'll take a good few weeks before you can hammer out 75 cave kills as a noob, I'm pretty sure most of us logged with 3/50 k/d records in our first days playing

Think about this, we all survived without that many certs.

We survived, I think they would be able to, without the certs. I'll have to see how this will really play out in the game before I can assume that this will be bad or good balance wise. I guess it will make it easier for the lower level players, and I am sure it will take the busy-work feel of leveling up out of my daily routine, but giving 3 more certs.. isn't that a little much?
