Ya it does. I'm surprised there is no kind of chat box what so ever. They must really be banking on this voip system or have the chat box disabled at the moment for the demo/

Or maybe the chat box is invisible until you're typing in it, or not implemented currently.

It looks like a lot of the potential UI elements are stripped out.

My guess is it's highly customizable.

It seems reasonable to have the chat box dissapear when no one's talking.

man there seems to be happening a lot of stuff behind the scenes! so excited about witnessing that amount of progress lately!
alpha completed,
milestones hit,
big demo for the company that was a great success,
now even magazines getting handons and famous trolls making videos ;-)
oh and not to forget: beta keys!

I think the terrain view is gonna be a good few kilometres. Whether it renders other players up to that far will be the main thing.

Second SOE made me buy a magazine(s). I haven't bought magazines since they invented this thing called the internet.

Third SOE is going to make me watch some dude show that I've never heard of just for a glimpse of the game client or some new details about the game.

Anything else? Sheesh! ;)

From what I can gather, this likely won't air for awhile. We'll probably already be playing the beta by then.

I know right? I have done all that as well just for this game, shit I'm using facebook now more then ever to just to check dev updates and post comments lol.

Hes pretty big in gaming circles, has a big fan base who watch his show.. A good bit of PR for sure.

We did a bit with Jace on a previous project (Clone Wars Adventures) for a previous season, we were in a few episodes from season 4 episode 5 through episode 8 or so. Much of the locals are the same since the Planetside 2 team is in the same area as the Clone Wars team was at!
