There were shoulderpads in games before WoW and before Blizzard.

There were giant shoulderpads in Planetside.

Good thing VS's colors aren't red and black or everyone would want to play them. They sure did get some special treatment.
I hope that rank/level effects your color like it does in PS. It was a very cool and easy way to see other players BR.

I really like the designs, but I don't really like all the grey. Hopefully higher ranks will splash us with some more color.... I want to be 100% color, not a trace of grey.

I want to see how the artwork translated to the game. If at all.

Seriously, all we've been seeing were light assaults since the game was announced.

I really hope the concept art we saw for the MAXs made it in.. I loved all of them, especially the NC. Though, c'mon TR, big max armor but nothing for the face?

I agree with the TR bit.

The no face mask looks so silly. Reminds me of the Juggernaut. Which I've always thought was incredibly silly in itself.

Now, if they put like a mouthpiece over it then it'll be fine.

The alien face in the middle is disturbing.

2 Things.

1. Anyone else notice that the VS symbol on the chest looks incredibly like a very unhappy face? :evil: or :mad:

2. Do all the soldiers in the game have a permanent scowl?

3. The detailing on this game continues to blow my mind every time a new pic is released. This game.....its just taking everything to a whole 'nutha level!

They creating that detailed models, and then cut off holstered weapons due performance reason. I would rather have less details with and holstered weapons.

Very impressive yet again - well done devs!

My thinking on why we have only really seen light assault is probably because they are the most 'ready' to show.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but we haven't even seen a glimse of NC or VS heavy assault yet not to mention any MAXs beyond the concept art - maybe we'll see all of these in the following weeks?

Also (just to offer an alternative view) I think the TR max was rather cool without the mouth piece :) Almost had a Space Marine not wearing helmet look - not practical but shows there is a person inside instead of a machine.

They could always offer a helmet customisation (or armour unlock / upgrade etc...) that either just looked different or helped you identify a MAX with buffed armour mod.

Yeah... the NC and TR designs are the most boring and uninspired uniforms I have seen in a long time. I hope they scrap them for a redesign, or add a LOT of color. Can you imagine a 200 vs 200 of people wearing that uniform? You will have NO idea which team a person is on just by a quick glance, much less someone in the distance.

There should be a little grey as possible, with the exception of some of the TR uniforms, since the original had it.

I could see RuPaul wearing this thing to a club. Actually, it looks like someone from The Village People and Circe de Solei had a baby.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

After the dust settles and the game begins to age - I expect the Vanu Maxes to pretty much be universally seen as having the baddest "look" of anything in the game.

TR, as long as they have full face masks, have the best looking infantry in the game(with the exception of the infiltrator imho). I don't know what it is about the VS, maybe it's the goblin on it's chest, or overly intricate shoulder pads, or lack of a belt. But it just doesn't look as good as the TR stuff.

Although, with the addition of a face mask, who knows. ;)

Geist .... and Hydra ....... dunno what Outfit affiliation you cats might already be commited to ...... but I would love to end up ion the same Outfit.

I started soon after PS1 Beta ..... and stuck with the game thru BFR roll-out for close to a year. Several factors casued me to stop playing PS1.

I was in Prox 12. My best buds from those days ....... I dunno if any will be back. Many names I would only remember if I saw them in-game again.....it's been well over 5 years...

Anyway, there's a lot of good folks on PSU. Greywolves (along with many others) seem like my type of bloke.

I'll be looking for old friends in PS2 - I hope I come across at least 2 or 3. Either way, I hope I end up in an Outfit with cats with your sense of humor.
