Hey, for math we have to make a survey and make graphs and stuff from it about a subject that we're interested in so I made my survey about Planetside players.

I initially posted this survey on Reddit and i got a great response but I wanna bump up the pool of responses so here you go!

Interesting. Aside from being VS, all of my answers were either the first most popular or occasionally the second most popular answer. I'm horrifically average.

Why the fuck is there Switzerland and Denkmark but not Austria ?

Really wonder that the playerbase is rather young in PS2.

Yeah, FPS games tend not to apply to the female population as much as RPGs do as far as I've seen so far. In many MMORPGs I've seen them stand for around 19% of the population give or take a few percentages, here it's about 2.5%- then again it hasn't gone past 1000 voters yet but I doubt it will change that much.

Anyway, thanks for the survey, it isnt just for you we're doing this- it's great fun for the ones taking the survey as well to look at what the statistics say- especially when they are so detailed as this one is.

Back in my time, all we got was boring text books and even more boring teachers, damn I hated math...

I am actually home educated and my maths tutor wanted to do something fun with me but I put it into a classroom context for ease :p

Done.

But why can you only choose a two year or four year degree? Here in the UK "college" (University) degrees are mostly for three years.

I just copied that question from the great reddit gaming survey, sorry.

OP is probably from the US where it goes 2 years(Associates), 4 years(Bachelors), 6 years(Masters), 8 years (Doctorate).

Ah, I see. If it'd given those extra details I would have chosen 4 years rather than 2, as I got a BSc. Never mind! :)

Planetside 2 must be popular among the transgendered community.

As a fellow RPG fan I think this game has a certain RP-factor to it. The whole fighting for your empire in an open, changing and persistant world really makes it feel like you're actually a soldier loyal to a cause, not just a player trying to get good stats in a 20-minute match.

Nice survey, but I noticed most of the things were subject to fast coming change. Next time, consider making ages as a range. (12 or below, 13-19, 20-30, etc) That way you have more options. Same with the 'class you want to play' one, the game isn't out yet so no one knows. Most of us will probably try them all out, then afterwards, pick one.

Agree, I didn't see the point in how granular that question was.

Interesting that we have more people interested in playing medic and engie than the other classes, so far, according to the survey. (I picked engie myself, though I will probably try all the classes but only end up playing a few of them regularly due to how the certs work, unless we're given certs on an accelerated timeframe so that we can test all of them during beta)

(Although sampling bias, etc)
